Job summary

The Department and position

The department is responsible for development and maintenance of Capital Market applications used by worldwide users.

“Run the bank” is the first mission of IT department. It involves many frontline IT professionals who understand the nature of business operations, timing of activities & data flowing through internal and external systems. They are continuously working with business users, infrastructure engineer and system managers.

The role will focus primarily on the build and delivery in-house component platform in line with the major global projects with a high value budget. You will lead and keep engage 10 to 15 team members composed by business analyst, technical lead, software developers and Application support.

Main duties details 

Team and expertise management

  • Ensure operational efficiency of his/her teams in their activities
  • Guide the team to achieve the development goals set in conjunction with activities need
  • Optimize the sourcing composition (role, skills, seniority) to perform/deliver the activities under her responsibilities
  • Develop a good autonomy of the team head while conducting day to day activities
  • Define and manage the collective objectives of the section and the individual ones
  • Ensure the good culture and mindset in term of compliance and security matters across all team members

 Support domain strategy and interface with business

  • Interface with effective communication with business stakeholders to align their needs and collect their feedback
  • Interface with head office division (“filiere”) covered by these activities
  • Foster innovation and change management aligned with global CMI strategy
  • Organize the work/activities of the teams to ensure the stability of the production throughout the following pillars: application monitoring, incident and requests management, problem management and continuous improvement

Supervise and oversee T2R functional run monitoring team which is in charge of

  • Supervise and monitor daily the transaction reporting is produced in timely matter as per regulation requirement leveraging on KPI alert defined to monitor the pipeline.
  • Propose evolution/improvement in the monitoring
  • Ensure that problems are swiftly analysed and resolved to minimize downtime.
  • Process and issue daily, weekly and monthly reporting on data quality of risk chain in which the activity is usually more intense on monthly run.

Secondary duties

  • Serving as backup person for absent ISAP/CMI Manager and ISAP/CMI/T2R Members when required
  • Other duties may be assigned.

The position requires autonomy and reliability in performing duties while maintaining close communication with rest of project/support team.

Candidate criteria

Minimal education level

Bachelor Degree / BSc Degree or equivalent

Academic qualification / Speciality

Degree in relevant specialties.

Level of minimal experience

6-10 years

Required skills

Mandatory

  • At least 10 years in Software development or DevOps team
  • At least 5 years in application support leadership
  • Solid experience with business interaction
  • At least 5-year experience with international investment banking domain
  • Relevant experience into regulatory reporting, especially for Asia (MAS, HKTR, JSFA, …)
     

Good to have

  • Understanding of trade life cycle, financial products (Treasury, FX, Bonds, Credit, IRD…)
  • Exposure to Capital Market FO/BO system (E.g. Summit, Kondor+, Murex…)
