Summary

This role will initiate and lead the Innovation Projects in Hong Kong branch or in the region. 

 

The Project Manager will support all the Business Lines in APAC entities in the definition and implementation of its business innovative transformation, by having good knowledge of the business needs, new technologies and innovation topics, market trends.  

 

The Project Manager will work closely with all the business lines & supporting functions, regional and local management and external parties to promote and implement the innovative solutions.

  • Identify opportunities for the Bank
  • Allow the Bank to apply innovations that benefit its clients
  • Develop the culture of innovation and employees’ skills in key areas of innovation
  • Promote the Bank’s outside influence in this area

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with Front Office coverage, business lines to promote innovative and digitalized solutions to clients
  • Coordinate with supporting functions and APAC branches for various initiatives of innovation projects
    Project management, including governance, planning, business analysis, documentation, UAT, change management, etc.
  • Market and technology watch and bring new ideas to the bank
  • Be active part of internal and external innovative activities, work closely with HO innovation teams, IT, authorities in charge of innovation in HK, etc.
  • Promote agile methodology to the bank

Minimal education level

Bachelor Degree / BSc Degree or equivalent

Academic qualification / Speciality

Bachelor degree holders, with strong academic background in banking, Finance or relevant discipline

Level of minimal experience

3-5 years

Experience

3-5 years in project management preferably in banking industry. 

 

Required skills

  • Dynamic and curious thinkers
  • Self-motivated, client oriented, team player
  • Able to be multi-task, meet deadlines and motivate others to meet deadlines.

Technical skills required

  • Having experience (or by default a strong interest) in innovation topics or areas is a plus. e.g. Digitalization, AI, etc.
  • Literate in Banking activities (CIB)
  • Strong Project Management skills
  • Strong analytical skills and quantitative skills
  • Strong communication and problem solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint

Languages

Excellent command of spoken & written English
