GMD - Corp. Sales Trainee
Trainee will be responsible for the supporting of GMD product sales to existing/new customers of the Band and liaising with other areas of the Bank with the aim of flawless deal execution.
The customer base consists of corporate including large conglomerates, government sovereign companies and multi-national companies.
Key responsibilities
1. Strategy and Business Planning
· Support providing prompt update of market to clients and support daily flow business opportunities
· Engage with existing customers of the bank and support building relationships / assist the team to set credit lines & documentations in place with new potential customers
· Support executing deals mostly focusing on daily flows, under supervision of a permanent staff
· Be aware of economic and financial data likely to affect the products being marketed
· Carry out operations to support the Corp sales team
2. Support Management and Reporting
· Attend regular / ad hoc meetings with the Sales team to review market strategy, exchange ideas and receive updates on any important administrative matters
3. Assist Control
· Ensure clients are suitable classified and are dealt appropriately
· Ensure clients are cleared by credit, legal, compliance and back office before trading
· Ensure the trade monitoring of counterparty risk
4. Support Risk related task
· Adhere to and understand risks to the bank and the client resulting from marketing initiatives or successful conclusion of transactions
5. Communication
· Network with contacts in the business as directed by Head of Corp Sales
· Contact clients through phone, messenger and visit using all possible means to closely follow up as directed by the Head of Corp Sales
