Job summary

**This position will be under the Employee Referral Program in Hong Kong.

 

Department: International Trade and Transaction Banking

 

Summary
Responsible for managing and developing the portfolio of Trade Finance clients – primarily Large Chinese corporates and NBFI companies in Hong Kong. In addition, developing overall ITB business with this client segment.  

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing high quality services, with regular interaction in order to identify existing clients’ (Corporates and NBFIs) needs and ensuring the clients' objectives are in line with the Bank's strategy;
  • Develop the Global Trade Finance client portfolio by identifying new prospects with a focus on Receivable and Supply Chain Finance products in line with the defined strategy of the Bank;
  • ITB relationship developed with new NBFI clients, will be leverage to promote ITB cash offer with a focus on collection in support of the Cash Management desk;
  • Negotiate and Structure transactions in close coordination with local Relationship Managers, Department Head and other relevant departments.
  • Vested with a specific NBI Budget and the responsibilities in this respect (revenue targets, follow-up, etc.)
  • Coordination of related activities with the large international network of the Bank (> 50 countries) and other subsidiaries both for:
    1. inbound activities: Flows channeled to HK by the group network and other referrals.
    2. outbound activities: Flows directed by HK to other branches in the group 
  • Cross-selling other business lines whenever appropriate and;
  • Bridging between external clients and internal mid- & back- offices including but not limited to Risk, Credit Administration and Monitoring, Operation, Legal & Compliance and others;

Candidate criteria

Minimal education level

Bachelor Degree / BSc Degree or equivalent

Academic qualification / Speciality

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Business Administration/ Banking/ Finance or related discipline.

Level of minimal experience

6-10 years

Experience

  • Minimum 6-8 years’ experience in Corporate Banking industry, with focus on TF and Receivable & Supply Chain Financing with exposure to dealing with large Chinese companies, MNCS, NBFIs etc.

Required skills

  • Good knowledge of Trade Finance, and Receivable & Supply Chain Financing products
  • Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, time management and organizational skills
  • Proven track record of successful client focused activity
  • Self-driven and trusted team player

Languages

Fluency in Mandarin and English
