Job summary
To support the senior banker in execution of transactions, annual and interim credit processes, periodic reviews, CSR reporting and other requirements related to the application of the bank’s sector policies.
The portfolio comprises 12 companies spanning a broad range of the Diversified Industrials sector.
Key components of the role are the co-ordination of dialogue and reporting between the bank’s product specialists; Credit Control; RPC; the international coverage network including GCO; FS; compliance and clients on a global basis.
Principal Duties
1) Business Execution and Monitoring
Work closely with colleagues in other parts of the CA CIB network, to ensure co-ordinated and efficient execution on a worldwide basis.
Assist the senior banker to maximise cross-selling opportunities by developing awareness of the bank’s capabilities, maintaining close relationships with the various product line teams and understanding the clients’ strategies and industries
Develop an understanding of the industry sectors in which the UK DI clients operate.
2) Management and Reporting
Preparation of the budget input in relation to clients as part of the budget process for the bank.
Maintain the pipeline and update the monthly forecast after review of Clientlive results
Preparation of regular management information to be included in overall Corporate Coverage reports, other routine reporting as required from time to time and one-off reports for specific industry issues.
3) Control
Assist the KYC to Front teams to complete the periodic reviews in a timely manner and in coordination with colleagues liaising directly with clients as necessary in order to ensure all KYC files are compliant.
Support any regulatory exercises as and when required
4) Financial Performance
Responsible for achieving targeted returns (NBI and EVA/PI) on a client by client basis
Assist in the management of RWAs as required by CACIB management
Periodically prepare client-by-client reports on profitability of the client relationship, current business and future business prospects.

5) Risk
Ensure that credit approvals for new transactions are obtained in a timely manner, and that the bank’s existing exposures are reviewed and monitored closely in partnership with GCO and RPC.
Ensure that annual reviews and other client reporting requirements are properly completed in a timely fashion.
Where necessary, participate in credit committees to support transactions involving DI UK clients of the bank.
Oversee internal credit process, from the writing of the initial commercial rationale for new business, through to supporting UK credit papers submitted to Credit Control and RPC to final Head Office approval.

Minimal education level

Academic qualification / Speciality
- Educated to degree level or equivalent
- CFA Level 2 or Professional accounting qualification
Experience
- Good exposure to ITB and a range of ITB products
- Good working knowledge of KIWIS and CACIB’s onboarding processes
- Ability to handle a number of different tasks of varying complexity simultaneously.
Proven numeracy - 5 years of banking experience of which at least 2 in a CACIB coverage role
