Job summary
Team & Position
We are seeking a talented Software Engineer with a strong aptitude for programming to join our dynamic Capital Market Department!
In this role, you will contribute to projects and possesses capability to make breakthroughs in design, development, testing, debugging and implementing software applications or specialised utility programs in support of end users' needs on platforms.
Capital Markets IT involves technology solutions and systems used in financial markets for trading, investment, and related activities. This includes electronic trading platforms, risk management systems, market risk, counterparty risk, algorithmic trading, data analytics, and Regulatory measures. The use of advanced technologies like API’s, artificial intelligence and cloud solutions are also becoming increasingly prevalent in capital markets to enhance efficiency and decision-making processes.
Main Responsibilities
Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialised utility programs. Analyse user needs and develop software solutions, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis.
Identify and resolve issues which have organisation wide and long-term impact. Identify security risks, creates requirements to capture security issues, and performs initial threat modelling to ensure coding standards meets security requirements
Develop and maintain the software configuration management plan and oversees the building, verification and implementation of software releases. Provide guidance and technical support to the quality testing teams.
Update software, enhances existing software capabilities, and develops and direct software testing and validation procedures.
Collaborate with cross functional teams (business analysts/ support teams… ) to ensure smooth integration of new features and updates and troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application-related issues
Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes relevant to capital markets.
Participate to proof of concept for new technology R&D
Contribute to continuous improvement and automation by leverage your programming skills to create custom tools and scripts that automate repetitive tasks and reduce manual effort.
Develop scripts and automation tools using Python, shell scripting, and other basic programming languages to streamline processes and improve efficiency
Engage and support others in the team, readily put forth his ideas in a clear and compelling manner.
Collaborate with computer hardware engineers (CAGIP and ITS) to integrate infrastructure constraint (whether in-premise or cloud) hardware and software systems aligned with capacity, develop specifications and performance requirements.

Qualifications and Profile
Technical
Good knowledge in UNIX platform and database management systems( SQL, Oracle, Sybase, BigData…..)
Experience with automation frameworks and libraries.
Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Shell script, PowerShell, SQL…)
Valuable exposure to tools & technologies like Elastic Search, Grafana, Prometheus, Kibana, Control-M, KAFKA, Confluence, Jira, Gitlab, MQ Series
Knowledge of Cloud platforms and services
Experience in DevOps tooling (GIT, Maven/Graven/Nuget/Ansible, Jenkins… )
Experience with Docker/Kurbernetes

Experience in supporting capital market applications and trading systems, ideally within the dynamic landscape of Market Risk/Front Office operations with a commendable grasp of financial products (Treasury, FX, Credit, IRD, Bonds, RSF etc.)
