Job summary

Key Responsibilities of the Department:

Responsible for selling and marketing of structured export finance (ECA covered) related products and services to corporates (UK and MNC) and banks. Maintaining relationships with corporates, financial institutions, sovereigns and ECA’s.

 

Key responsibilities of candidate:

Providing strong support to the EF team on new transactions, portfolio management and investigation on new opportunities, including identifying new sectors, clients etc being aligned with country and risk strategy.

 

  • An element of marketing UK exporters together with existing EF personnel.
  • Maintaining relationships with exporters, banks and UK Export Finance.
  • Close working relationship with the International Network, Coverage, Legal, Financial Security and Compliance.
  • Working closely with the London based RM’s to identify opportunities with our existing and potential new client base.
  • Preparing targeted marketing pitches.
  • Preparation and /or review of term sheets, offer letters etc., working in conjunction with PSAM.
  • Producing call reports of meetings when applicable.
  • Ensuring information is posted in ClientLive as required.
  • Updating and monitoring of the EF pipeline.
  • Preparing Early Birds to be presented to Business Committees for new and existing business opportunities.
  • Monitoring and follow up of request for information from stakeholders.
  • Calculation of PI and NBI using CACIB tools (PI Box)
  • Company research as required.
  • Producing reports as required.
  • Assistance with compliance, budget forecasting/monitoring, financial control, RPC, audit and regulatory requirements.

 

Risk

  • Ensuring that waiver requests and amendments are prepared and submitted to the Risk Department where appropriate.
  • Ensure compliance at all times to, inter alia,  the sanctions, AML etc., policies of the Bank.

  • Develop strong relationships with existing, new and prospective Clients and UK Export Finance.
  • Identify new opportunities.
  • Attendance at external / internal meetings as and when required.
  • Networking within trade organisations (UK Finance / British Exporters Association)
  • Liaison with Legal (both internal and external) and develop close relationship with Coverage in order to identify new clients and new opportunities with existing clients.

 

Communication

  • Key Internal Contacts : ITB Coverage, Financial Security, PSAM, DAR, CLF, ERA
  • Key External Contacts : UK Export Finance. UK based financial institutions, UK Trade Associations. Existing/New Clients. External Law firms.

Minimal education level

Bachelor Degree / BSc Degree or equivalent

Academic qualification / Speciality

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent

Experience

  • 2-5 years of banking experience. Knowledge of Export Finance products. Ideally, worked within an EF environment previously.
  • Some knowledge of a structured finance product would be useful
