Job summary
** This position will be under the Employee Referral Program in Hong Kong.
Summary
You will be in charge of the following and control of operational risk management for APAC & ME (Middle East) OPC processes.
The position is regional and based in Hong-Kong. You will report locally to the APAC & HKG COO (hierarchical link) and work closely with the regional Heads of Capital Markets Operations and Financing, Trade & Payment Operations for APAC & ME and at head office to Head of OPC ORM (functional link).
Key Responsibilities
As OPC/ORM in HK
- To elaborate an independent control plan (level 2.2 control) in order to take into account main operational risks areas
- To adapt the control plan and maintain its relevance depending on changes in the controlled environment in terms of organization, activities, internal rules, regulation…
- To perform the defined control, report the anomalies to management and define actions plans
- To analyse and investigate operational incidents reported, challenge actions plans proposed by OPC operational teams and follow implementation of actions plans
- To perform the operational risk mapping in relation with APAC RPC Operational Risk Management (MRO)
- To define and follow key risks indicators
- To pilot the level 1 and 2.1 controls through the permanent monitoring tool
- To elaborate various reports in order to highlight main issues, and elaborate / produce KPIs to monitor the operational risks environment on the perimeter
- To perform the role of Local Operational Risk Representative (ORR) for OPC in HK
As OPC/ORM as regional role (APAC & ME)
- To ensure the consistency of the Risk Control Self-Assessment (RCSA), the control plans and ORM processes within the region
- To maintain the awareness of the OPC staffs (i.e.: training)
- To coordinate the COOs and the operational teams about the ORM matters in the region (i.e.: regional governance, alignment of practices…),
- To represent the region in relationship with the local RPC MRO representatives
Operational losses, recommendations, compliance/regulatory impacts: tasks to be defined with MRO and LCO

Technical skills required
- Good knowledge of Banking products processed by OPC and of post-trade environment
- Need to be very rigorous in terms of analysing and reporting
- Excellent sense of urgency and prioritization; able to challenge OPC managers’ analysis
- Good knowledge of post-trade management and procedures
Languages
English speaking, reading and writing. French is a plus
