Job summary

Banker in the MNC Coverage team in NY are in charge of an appropriately build dedicated client portfolio. With direct support from the Head of MNC Coverage team the  MNC Banker is responsible for the following:
- deliver the full suite of solutions that CACIB Americas and the CACIB group overall have to offer to the US subs of Credit Agricole's clients worldwide;

- be a trusted partner of local treasurers, CFO's and CEO's;
- be a trusted partner to the CACIB’s Senior Bankers internationally to deliver local value and support the their global client relationships;

- originate relevant opportunities and leads to product lines;

- bring value to product lines and Senior Bankers by gathering local strategic and operational knowledge of the client;
- generate opportunities that are accretive to the risk-adjusted capital.

The MNC Banker needs to be a team player, bringing together and communicating relentlessly with product partners in the US, Senior Bankers and GRM's worldwide. The perspective of the MNC Bankers should be product and geography neutral.


Accountable for the following:

• Understand client’s local strategy, businesses and financial situation, and anticipate its needs for financial services


• Understand specificities, challenges, stakes linked to client industry or sector


• Map client local organization, identify key decision makers (CEO, CFO, CIO, etc.), develop with them strong relationships and foster multi-products relationships between the Bank and the client


• Lead and coordinate local client teams facing client, offering the best of our “know how” to find the appropriate solutions suited to its needs, and develop cross-selling in her/his geographical area of responsibility


• Obtain local quality, profitable mandates of financial operations and strategic acquisition or divestment leading to M&A situations in line with PCO’s commercial strategy matching his/her criteria for RWA consumption and profitability of the global relationship.


• Maximize volumes and profitability of the investment flows and hedging flows given to our market teams


• Understand and anticipate the risks associated with the activities of a Corporate and Investment Bank, and hold the primary responsibility for counterparty risks, along with the concerned PCOs and business lines


• Proactively manage risks related to each transaction, along with the concerned business lines, to anticipate default situations and minimize specific provisioning

- Swiftly communicate to PCOs any risk event or issue which may impact the client situation


• Follow compliance principles and internal rules, and make sure they are applied

- Eg role of Relationship Manager (RM) in charge of the creation, compliance and update of the Know Your Customer (KYC) file

Minimal education level

Bachelor Degree / BSc Degree or equivalent

Academic qualification / Speciality

University degree with focus on Economics, Banking, Finance

Level of minimal experience

6-10 years


5/10 years’ experience in Corporate Banking/ Financial Institutions with proven track record of significant over-quota achievement and demonstrated career stability

• Proven understanding of Investment Banking, Structured Finance and business complexity with a strategic perspective

• Experience includes participation in large or landmark Corporate and Investment Banking deals in the considered perimeter

• The person should be a natural team player, culturally adaptable to work efficiently with Senior Bankers in our international network, and have proven record in building relationships finance teams and senior management of international corporates

• Fluent command in English
