Job summary

The London Sales MO analyst will assists the team in the execution of control and support functions for our Global Markets Division sales desks. The team’s main responsibility is to ensure the timeliness of trade capture, amendment, cancellation, validation, deal flow and life cycle events in FO systems.

 

MOS Sales is an external facing function working with the operational team of our clients on post trade request (novations / allocations / booking error / failed settlement) requiring good communication skills, as you’ll be representing the company to our clients.

 

Internally MOS Sales assist the various sales desks in booking issues proving front line support.

 
Key Responsibilities (in order of priority)

 

Define duties / activities in detail under each point (e.g. Volumes, frequency etc.)


General

·       Monitor deal flow and follow up on post trade issues, including performing FO/FO Recs where appropriate.

·       Ensure controls and procedures are developed to support the business and reduce operational risk.

·       Propose and formalise any improvements on controls and procedures.

·       Develop efficiency initiatives.

·       Ensure compliance with CA CIB CMO and CA CIB London governance and organisation directives.

·       Participate in projects such as new markets/product development, improving deal workflow, new regulations and market rules.

·       Ensure COSMOS controls are completed on a daily basis.

·       Reporting.

 

Credit

·       Investigate and resolve errors in trade details, post trade queries (internal and external), breaks, and settlement differences.

·       Process and follow-up of CTM confirmations.

·       Book primary dummy trades for new issues from the Syndicate desk and amend with correct mark-up when published.

·       Follow-up Calypso integration, new counterparty KYC, AM funds creation in FO/BO systems.

 

Forex

·       Monitoring, investigation and referral of FX sales account positions/P&L

·       Trade amendment/cancellation/split/conversion/validation

·       Monitoring, referral and allocation of FX UNKNOWN/BLOCK/TBAPAR trades

 

Risk & controls
·       Comply with all applicable legal, regulatory and internal Compliance requirements, including, but not limited to, the London Compliance manual and the Financial Crime Policy.

·       Maintain appropriate knowledge to ensure to be fully qualified to undertake the role. Complete all mandatory training as required to attain and maintain competence.

·       Ensure all incidents are promptly reported to your manager.

·       Ensure all non-standard requests are promptly reported to your manager.

Experience

Essential

  • Middle Office / Back Office experience in FX, Derivatives and Credit products.

 

Desirable

Strong Middle Office experience in FX, Derivatives and Credit products including:

o   Novations

o   Fund allocations

o   CTM Matching

o   Primary Issuance workflow
