Summary
Assist and support the EMEA GMD Syndicate team in regards to Primary New Issue business
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategy and Business Planning
- Assist in developing the business activity of the EMEA Syndicate team
- Regularly contribute benchmarking of Primary activity.
2. Daily Syndicate & Administrative Responsibilities
- Assist GMD Syndicate team in pricing and executing primary new issues transactions.
- Involved in Bookbuilding process - specifically in charge/responsible of the bookbuilding/reconciliation process (orders and hedges) during a new issue transaction
- Execution of hedging operations (mainly EGB and swaps) on behalf of Syndicate Managers on the desk
- Trades booking in FO booking systems
- Ticketing and P&L Calculation.
- Managing the League Table Ranking.
- Ensure all syndicate administrative tasks have been closed for each deal (fee booking, daily Pnl reporting, Middle Office emails, etc.)
- Active connection, collaboration and communication with MO and BO teams to ensure follow up on new issues transaction settlements and potential issues arising.
3. Processes / IT systems
- Report on any issues with the various IT systems used throughout the primary market flow business with a particular focus on S&P/Ipreo systems
- Key stakeholder and go-to person in regards to improvements on the above mentioned systems.
4. Management and Reporting
- Report on the progress of the business and any specific issues that arise.
- Perform ad hoc reporting requested by Management (monthly business review, quarter business review, etc.)
- Ensure responsibilities, reporting lines and any delegated responsibilities are communicated to and accepted by those persons involved and are clearly documented.
- Adhere to relevant Company policies and procedures.
5. Counterparties and Clients
- Ensure the Global Head of GMD Syndicate is made fully aware in a timely fashion of all matters that might have a material impact on the Syndicate group performance, risk position or compliance with legal or regulatory requirements.
- Develop and maintain relationships with peers in other organisations as applicable.
- Ensure adherence to KYC procedures and policy.
6. Communication
- Contribute to discussions with the other members of Syndicate and DCM teams as requested and as appropriate to review market strategy and exchange ideas and any other pertinent information.
- Maintain open and constructive contact with the Sales desks regarding shared business.
