We are seeking a Portfolio Management Intern to join our EIG Portfolio Management UK team. This role involves assisting in the management of a diverse asset portfolio, including over 100 project finance and corporate transactions in the Energy and Infrastructure sectors. Ideal candidates will be proactive, possess strong critical thinking skills, and demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively within a team. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a keen interest in renewable energy projects and infrastructure development.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Assist team members in monitoring a wide range of Energy and Infrastructure deals, including renewable energy projects like offshore wind farms and energy transmission, as well as infrastructure projects in transportation, social infrastructure, and regulated utilities
- Support in the assessment and reporting of credit risk events and provide clear, concise weekly updates to EIG Senior Management
- Review financial information such as cash flow models, audited accounts, and management accounts, along with legal and technical documentation including construction and operation reports
- Contribute to the preparation and submission of annual reviews of the portfolio files for London credit committees.
Assist in processing amendments to documentation, waiver requests, and propose recommendations under the guidance of team members - Support the team in addressing ad-hoc internal reporting requirements, including KYC periodic reviews
- Participate in team meetings and suggest ways to improve the monitoring of the portfolio
- Maintain all internal portfolio-related systems up to date and ensure regular communication with other internal departments such as Credit Risk, Middle Office, Legal, Financial Security, and Compliance
