Job summary
• Advise the businesses and support functions in order to obtain maximum protection of the Bank’s rights.
• Provides expert advice and cover all legal documentation on regulatory, general banking and finance matters, syndicated lending, structured finance, trade and receivables finance, global markets, and debt restructuring, IT/IP and litigation.
• Actively participates in the development of processes, policies and procedures designed to mitigate legal risk
• Assists with drafting and maintenance of standard documentation
• Maintains good working relationship with and works with businesses and support functions on developing and modifying practices and procedures to conform to legal requirements.
• Liaises with external counsel.
• Provides advice on new or existing products or services
• Assist the Bank in any legal action or litigation
• Keep abreast of all relevant laws, regulations and guidelines impacting the business of the Bank
