Job summary

Position Summary

 

Responsible for trading local markets products with focus on FX and rates and non-linear products. Local markets refer to any currencies derivative products approved by CBRC locally, GMT internally to be dealt onshore in China. Lead the local market trading team in China.

Responsible for the trading team in China within the Global Markets Trading (GMT) division. As such he has direct responsibility over

·       The individuals allocated to this team

·       Risk positions and results for the Asia Emerging Markets Trading Platform (EMTP), and FX Option.

·       The management of day to day conduct of business (inc. but not limited to compliance with all internal and regulatory rules)

·       The implementation of the EMTP business strategy in line with the bank.

Key Responsibilities


1. Strategy and Business Planning

·       Formulate trading strategies daily by analyzing the latest market data and establishing positions to take advantage of market moves.

·       Execute transactions accurately and in accordance with established risk management procedures and risk parameters.

·       etc. 

2. Daily Trading & Administrative Responsibilities

·       Price and execute all client transactions in the market sector for which responsible.

·       Timely record and enter all transactions into front office trading systems in line with applicable trading procedures in effect.

 

3. Management and Reporting

·       Ensure an adequate management structure is in place, for the trading, and that responsibility for each activity within the business is clearly established, communicated to and accepted by those responsible.

·       Institute proper desk level delegation and responsibility for PL targets and risk management and supervising the desks’ profitability and risk management

 

·       etc.

4. Control

·       Co-ordinate and streamline the operations of and controls within GMT environment and ensure these are adequate and documented.

·       Ensure adequate internal controls (including the effective management of risk, clear segregation of duties and full reconciliation procedures) are established to address the risks identified for the GMT business and thereafter monitor that they are working effectively.

Postgraduate degree – MA/MSc/PhD/Doctorate or equivalent

Academic qualification / Speciality

Degree or equivalent experience, preferably in a Mathematical/ Scientific area

Computer literate

CFETS trader qualification license for CNY or FX market

Level of minimal experience

11 years and more

Experience in all aspects of managing a team (i.e. people, systems, HR, sales)

Experience in financial products, derivatives or related trading/ risk management activities

Able to understand the nature of Credit & Rates markets

CFETS FX and local currency license
