Summary

 

New York (FIG) Client Coverage Group seeks a highly-motivated, client-oriented individual with strong interpersonal skills and a background in capital markets and corporate banking to strengthen and expand our growing franchise with independent asset managers and hedge fund clients in North America. Depending on experience and existing relationships, the candidate will progressively assume responsibility for the profitable growth for a subset of clients assigned to him or her across all products.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

 

 

·         Develop strong relationships with subset of Hedge Fund and Asset Manager clients and meet annual budget and profitability goals.

·         Provide Origination/Client Coverage support to Senior Banker.

·         Monitor and ensure compliance with all Know Your Customer, internal monitoring requirements, portfolio reviews, etc.

·         Assist in the preparation of internal and external presentations.

·         Develop an in-depth understanding of the Credit Agricole Group’s product offering and network as well as an understanding of how the Bank’s products and network apply to clients and prospects.

·         Work with Senior Banker to map client internal organization, identify key decision makers and foster multi-product/cross-border relationships between the Client and CA-CIB.

·         Monitor risk and revenue of clients against targets and support Senior Banker in managing revenue budgets in cooperation with the different business lines.

·         Manage credit requests and legal documentation approval process for new transactions and new counterparts.

·         Liaise with GMD Legal and Credit Coordinator as well as product groups and international counterparts to facilitate approval of credit and documentation.

·         Analyze risk/return metrics on all stand-alone transactions and client relationships.

·         Cultivate and upgrade prospect list for future client development.

Position reports to FIG Senior Banker, Head of Asset Managers and Hedge Fund Sector

 

Salary Range: $140k - $150k

Candidate criteria

Academic qualification / Speciality

BA/BS degree (preferably in Business, Finance, Mathematics or related fields.)

 

MBA or advanced degree is beneficial but not required

Level of minimal experience

6-10 years

Experience

Required:

5-7 years of experience in a banking environment

Series 79, 63, SIE or ability to obtain in 120 days

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to multi-task 

Strong computer skills including use of Excel, PowerPoint, Word

Developed oral and written presentation skills

Quantitative Skill

Basic grasp of risk/return analysis concepts and tools

Some travel required

 

 

Preferred:

Familiarity with banking and capital markets

Have experience managing client relationships.

Comfortable speaking to C-suite executives 

Financial modelling skills

Ability to speak French is beneficial but not required.
