Sustainable Investment Banking Division
The Credit Agricole CIB Sustainable Investment Banking team is dedicated to servicing CACIB clients and business lines on all ESG and sustainable finance matters. As one of most experienced ESG banks with a longstanding history of pioneering the sustainable finance market dating back to 2009, the team leads sustainable transactions across all investment banking products (bonds, loans, supply chain finance etc.) working alongside CACIB originators, syndicates and sales team members and advises on latest developments in the space. The Sustainable Investment Banking team sits within Investment Banking Coverage but works closely alongside product teams including debt capital market, leveraged finance and loan syndications.
Summary
- Pursuing a environmental science, environmental engineering and/or sustainability focused degree. A dual degree pursuing both sustainability and a finance, business and/or economics etc. is a plus. Expected graduation date of December 2026 - Spring 2026 and have a minimum preferred cumulative GPA of 3.2 on a 4.0 scale
- A strong demonstrated interest and knowledge of sustainability via coursework and extracurricular activities is required and will be technically assessed in the interview process
- Finance / economics only backgrounds without demonstrated sustainability experience will not be considered
Job Responsibilities

We need flexible and adaptable, analytical people who bring a comprehensive knowledge of environmental science and a strong interest in financial services.
The SIB summer analyst will be in charge of supporting senior SIB bankers in structuring sustainable finance transactions and pitches. Tasks include:
- Pitches with a focus on ESG materiality and climate scenario models across various corporate sectors as well as sovereign clients;
- Ownership of ESG market update materials and client pipeline tracking
- Maintain a highly proactive approach to elevating ESG dialogue with clients via creating bespoke materials leveraging client ESG disclosure and industry benchmarks (SBTi, TPI) as well as level of ambition of use of proceeds or KPIs for sustainable finance transactions;
- Structure and execute the mandates originated, in partnership with the concerned Business Lines;
- Maintain an excellent level of expertise and knowledge on the sustainable finance market, so as to maintain CACIB as one of the major actors in the market

Minimum Qualifications:
- College junior (penultimate year of study) pursuing a degree in environmental science, sustainability or environmental engineering. A plus if you are dual majoring or minoring in finance, economics and/ or business
- Minimum GPA 3.2 on a 4.0 scale from a top tier educational institution
- Candidate must not require visa sponsorship now or in the future (including F1, OPT, CPT)
- Candidate must be present in office 5 days a week. No hybrid or remote internship option.
- The role requires fluency in English
