Job summary

We are seeking a dedicated Infrastructure Finance professional who possesses a strong understanding of financial engineering, risk analysis methodologies, and project finance competencies.

This role involves assisting in the origination and execution of large and complex project finance transactions within the infrastructure sector across EMEA. You will work under the supervision of deal team leaders and collaborate with other team members on projects related to transportation, social infrastructure, environment, regulated utilities, e-mobility, and other hybrid infrastructure sub-sectors.

Day-to-Day of the Role:

  • Assist transaction team leaders in assessing business opportunities and executing project finance/infrastructure transactions, including financial modelling and elements of documentation and due diligence processes.
  • Support directors in origination activities, including marketing efforts and sector-specific research.
  • Prepare marketing materials for presentation to clients and assist in the preparation of credit applications.
  • Populate transactional internal systems such as ClientLive (CMG, Buzcom), PI, transaction rating, and Equator Principal grids.
  • Assist in the syndication process, including drafting info memos and handling Q&A with syndicate banks.
  • Ensure accurate reporting of Infrastructure client results (NBI, RWA, CWA) through various internal systems and assist in budgeting, planning, and reporting on client budgets.
  • On an ad hoc basis, manage transactions in the portfolio, including waivers and annual reviews.
  • Provide oversight and support to junior team members.

Experience

  • Previous associate position in a financial environment (banks or similar)
  • Familiarity with project finance or related field within structured finance
  • Experience of risk analysis and cashflow modelling, transaction due diligence and documentation
