Job summary

Principal Responsibilities:

• Process and validate Inward/Outward Foreign Remittances, Overseas Direct Investments (ODI), and Foreign Direct Investments (FDI), including document verification, monitoring, and follow-up in accordance with FEMA regulations and Bank guidelines.
• Ensure full compliance with FEMA provisions and applicable statutes, Reserve Bank of India guidelines, internal procedures, Head Office directives, and international trade frameworks including UCPDC, ISBP, URR, and URC.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of capital account transactions (such as purchase/sale of shares) and manage their reporting on the FIRMS and OID portals.
• Perform Nostro account reconciliation and conduct timely follow-ups on outstanding items.
• Prepare and submit regulatory returns to the Reserve Bank of India, Income Tax authorities, and Head Office within stipulated deadlines (e.g., DRI, CBWT, R-Return, Form 147).
• Manage the full account lifecycle — including opening, amendment, and closure — while serving as custodian of original account opening documentation.
• Maintain and update customer signatures in the designated signature management tool (SPART) as per the details provided by the client in their Board Resolution.
• Coordinate and liaise with internal departments to facilitate smooth day-to-day banking operations.
• Ensure proper documentation, filing, scanning, and systematic archiving of all processed transactions.
• Processing of Fixed Deposit transactions.
• Oversee and monitor the SharePoint platform for operational use.
• Manage cheque book issuance and handle inward/outward clearing processing.
• Execute domestic and cross-border remittances via RTGS, NEFT, IMPS, UPI, NACH, Demand Drafts, and Cashier Cheques.
• Oversee the management and safekeeping of physical cash.
• Handle TDS payments on customer deposits, as well as client-related obligations including Custom Duty, Professional Tax, and TDS.
• Provide comprehensive operational support to the Bank, its customers, and all commercial and other business lines.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to manage and analyze operational data, prepare reports using advanced Excel functions.
• Ensure the delivery of adequate and efficient operational services at all times.

 

Other Activities:

• Exercise delegated authorities in accordance with the Bank's Internal Delegation of Powers framework.
• Undertake any additional responsibilities assigned by the Manager, Head of Operations and COO.
