Job summary

Crédit Agricole CIB is the Corporate and Investment Banking arm of the Crédit Agricole Group, the world’s n°13 bank measured by Tier One Capital (The Banker, July 2018). The Bank offers its clients a comprehensive range of products and services structured around six major divisions.



The internship proposed is at the heart of the Basis & Non Linear Product Line. Based in the Capital markets trading room London working as part of the Basis & Non Linear business (Trading and Quantitative Research) which is run round the clock 5days a week -time zones from Hong Kong to New York. The exposition to the financial instruments offered by the GMD will be extensive as Basis and Non Linear covers other product line from its hedging activities. Furthermore this internship will provide a valuable and in-depth view of a CIB and its departments as well as close proximity to its management and strategic developments.

The successful candidate will assist the B & NL Business Manager and its Business Analyst in the following tasks:

1.         Assist the B & NL Business Manager and its Business Analyst in day-to-day queries from various Businesses and Functions

2.         Perform P&L, Risks, booking and commercial analyses for the Basis & Non Linear Product Line

a)         Analyse, challenge the data sources and chase inconsistencies, and maintain management tools.

b)         Perform ad hoc analysis on results, commercial margins, etc. through Business Objects and existing reports.

3.         Respond to enquiries of GMD Permanent Control, Compliance and Audit under the supervision of the business manager

4.         Help in reviewing, updating, maintaining and implementing Policies and Procedures of Global Basis & Non Linear

5.         Automation of processes, various extractions and presentations for different Basis & Non Linear stakeholders

a)         Ad hoc special analyses, business plans, governance presentations.

b)         Data extractions from different trading / FO platforms.

6.         Help in project management on significant IT development aimed at increasing the product line revenues and under the supervision of the Business manager

7.         Develop/Maintain/Create new webpages, services, powerBi views or any other new tool aimed at monitoring the activity

8.         Participate in the development, at the project management level, of new products for the product line

Management and reporting

Report directly to the Basis & Non Linear Business Manager.

Legal and Regulatory Responsibilities

Comply with all applicable legal, regulatory and internal Compliance requirements, including, but not limited to, the London Compliance manual and the Financial Crime Policy. Maintain appropriate knowledge to ensure to be fully qualified to undertake the role. Complete all mandatory training as required to attain and maintain competence.
