Job summary

Summary

  • Pricing, structuring and syndicating loans and other private debt issuance primarily for project finance / core+ / infrastructure assets but not limited to and can expand to asset-based financings, TMT and LBOs when necessary. This also includes working on structured solutions like portfolio, back leverage and synthetic solutions.
  • Helping the origination teams in those sectors win lead role mandates and when relevant participate to client pitches .
  • Supporting where appropriate the DAR Sales team to distribute these products to banks and investors, in primary or secondary markets

Candidate must have strong work ethos, high level of motivation, strong intellectual curiosity and a desire to learn and grow by taking responsibilities. Candidate will be joining a collaborative and supportive environment, but with high volume of deal flow and deliverables under pressurized timetable. Must be able to multi-task, prioritize and be organized on multiple work-streams.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with the Origination teams and DAR team members from the earliest stage of transactions and contribute views on pricing, terms and other conditions of products in the scope
  • Help prepare relevant material for pitches and participate to clients’ pitches with origination teams
  • Provide input at BOM stage, produce DAR opinions and present DAR views in credit committee
  • Interact and negotiate with Sponsors, Borrowers and other banks’ syndicate desks during the negotiation, underwriting and distribution phases
  • Develop connections in the Syndicated loans community in Singapore and in India in particular, and across APAC generally, and interact with the investor community (both banks and institutional investors) to understand market specifics, liquidity available for and likely market reaction to deals CACIB may arrange or participate in
  • Monitor and report on market trends and developments
  • Develop a strong and respected market profile within the structured debt finance community
  • Review and contribute to the drafting of IM’s, Bank presentations/roadshows and other syndication documents
  • Arrange bank meetings/roadshows

Supplementary Information

  • Ensure compliance with ethics, rules, regulations and internal procedures at all times
  • Establish strong working relationships with coverage, business lines and product teams
  • Maintain good connections with key market players
  • Maintain good working relationships and team spirit with GFD and GMD colleagues in the region and globally

Legal and Regulatory Responsibilities

  • Comply with all applicable legal, regulatory and internal Compliance requirements
  • Maintain appropriate  knowledge  to  ensure  to  be  fully  qualified  to undertake  the  role.
  • Complete all mandatory training as required to attain and maintain competence
  • Comply with all applicable conduct rules as prescribed by the relevant regulator
  • Refrain from taking any steps which could lead to the removal of certification of fitness and propriety to perform the role
  • Undertake all necessary steps to satisfy the annual certification process

  • Based in Singapore but may require some travel within APAC region in connection with deal flow and client meetings

  • Ability to prioritize tasks to manage parallel workflows simultaneously
