Job summary

The Leveraged Finance team at Crédit Agricole is responsible for the origination, structuring, and execution of leveraged loan and high yield bond transactions for private equity, telecom, and corporate clients. This position requires financial modelling expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to manage complex transactions while collaborating across multiple internal teams. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

·       Taking a leading role in preparing pitches and pricing/market updates for clients

·       Elaborate pricing rationales and analysis of comparables in cooperation with the syndicate desk

·       Review and analyse new business opportunities with deal teams

·       Taking the initiative on preparing the memos for internal credit and markets committees.

·       Support portfolio team in drafting annual reviews and monitoring client portfolio

·       Financial modelling for transactions

·       Ensure necessary administrative tasks are completed on new deal opportunities, including compliance (CMG), NDA processing with legal, business committee (BizCom) and profitability analysis. Upload and maintain pipeline in Diamond

·       Support senior originators with reviewing leveraged finance documentation, covenants, commitment papers, Investment Memorandums, precedents and sponsor grids. Assist senior originators in the negotiation of the Description of Notes, including preparation of covenant comparables, and discussions with underwriters’ and issuer counsels

·       Produce marketing materials for senior originators: bond proposals (e.g. High Yield Bonds, HoldCo Bonds, Hybrid Capital, Liability Management, etc.), acquisition financing/leveraged finance pitches, primary and secondary bond market updates, market summaries

·       Prepare marketing documents for the deal execution including OM, roadshow presentation, DD questionnaires, loan syndication materials (IM, RAP, LP etc.) and assist where applicable the ratings team in the preparation of the ratings agency materials

·       Client interaction as a support to senior originators

·       Actively support execution process, including participation in due diligence, client conference calls, roadshow presentations, drafting sessions

·       On-board and carry out KYC tasks for new transactions (alongside the KYC support team)

·       Process market information (databases , market intelligence and market publications)

·       Coordinating and networking with the following internal teams: debt syndicate (DAR), derivatives desk, coverage, product team (Private Placements, MTNs, DCM), DCM Legal in order to deliver focused solutions to potential issuers

·       Market research (business/sector/transactional)

·       Work closely with and train new junior members of the CLF teams

Academic qualification / Speciality

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent is desirable

Experience

  • Awareness of general business, financial and economic environment.
  • Experience in leveraged credit and / or structured finance.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the syndicated term loan and high yield bond markets and related products.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the financial sponsor community.
