Job summary

We are looking for junior lawyer with experience in financing and capital market products.

Candidate will provide legal services (in both a transactional and advisory role) in general banking, financing activities, capital market matters and advise legal and regulatory issues in relation to Korean laws and regulations.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing advice and covering all legal documentation on general banking and financing matters, bilateral and syndicated lending, structured finance, and trade and receivables finance
  • Providing advice and covering all legal documentation on capital market matters including derivatives, repo and securities lending and borrowing transactions
  • Advising on regulator matters regarding finance related laws including banking law and FSCMA
  • Advising on general corporate commercial matters including review of vendor supply contracts and IT contracts
  • Liaising with external counsels and/or other worldwide legal team members within CA-CIB / CASA as and when necessary
  • Liaising with London / Paris Legal and Legal teams in other regions of CA-CIB / CASA to ensure best practices consistency and continuity of standards across CA-CIB
  • Maintaining awareness of market changes and regulation, and the potential legal impact
  • Reviewing legal and regulatory developments and updating business or support functions
  • Providing legal input in approval process of new product or activity across APAC
  • Participating in projects regarding automation of the production of legal documents, digitalization, e-Business and other new business initiatives and transversal projects
  • Providing a legal service to Credit Agricole (Asia) Securities Seoul branch with respect to any legal matters

Minimal education level

Bachelor Degree / BSc Degree or equivalent

Academic qualification / Speciality

  • Legal professional qualification (Korean, English or US license desired)

Level of minimal experience

3-5 years

Experience

  • 2-5 year of experience in a bank or law firm
  • Experience in capital market agreements/general banking agreements
  • Knowledge of Korean laws/regulations
  • Acts with integrity, works well under pressure, strong team player, detail-oriented
  • Willing to work outside his/her own fields of expertise
  • Excellent written and spoken English and Korean
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to innovate, manage change and complexity with confidence
