The Infrastructure Capital Markets (ICM) team within EMEA is a dedicated team sitting within the Energy & Real Assets Division (ERA) which seeks to originate Structured Debt Capital Market mandates (including European and US Private Placements) with the relevant teams in charge of sales/distribution and investor coverage, within Infrastructure, Transportation, Energy & Power & Technology, Media & Telecoms (TMT).

The Team is split between Paris and London and is now seeking to hire an experienced Associate to support future growth opportunities. The role is based in London and requires FCA certification.  

Key Responsibilities

Origination
-        Originate (alongside Coverage & Sector lending teams) European & US Private Placements for EMEA-based clients in the ERA (Infrastructure, Transportation, Energy & Power) and TMT (Fibre & Data Centres) sectors through pitches to corporates and financial sponsors;
-        Assist in the development of new business opportunities;
-        Promote cross selling and cooperation with other departments within CA-CIB by promoting an agnostic approach in terms of product and format;
-        Creation and development of client / product presentations;
-        Detailed analysis of transaction opportunities.

Structuring & Execution 
-        Structuring of European & US private placements (bond or loan formats dedicated to institutional investors) transactions;
-        Discussions with issuers, investors (in coordination with sales/distribution colleagues), lawyers, and other third parties, as well as all relevant internal groups (including legal, compliance, credit, syndicate, distribution etc.) for the execution of transactions;
-        Coordinate with the relevant teams leading the distribution activities for transaction execution.

Secondary Responsibilities
-        Maintain good knowledge of the investor base interacting with sales/distribution colleagues;
-        Organise and assist in the performance of various team responsibilities, including in the preparation of certain reports;
-        Maintain intelligence of the Project bond market / deals.

• University degree

• Several years origination and transaction experience in project finance (lending or advisory), securitization or debt capital markets
