Job summary

The Department and position

In a challenging and multicultural environment, you are working in an IT Department in charge of the maintenance and the implementation of in-house applications for various Support Functions domains of the bank, such as the Risk, Compliance, Referentials & Finance IT domains.

In this IT Department, you are having a role of Software and Applications Manager for the IT Finance domain, where you are responsible of leading, coordinating and managing a section composed of multiple teams in charge of software engineering development and support L1/L2/L3. You ensure that all the projects, activities and tasks under the team’s responsibility are performed within quality standards, on schedule and cost-effectively.

You are working in the context of the Finance IT domain, which is composed of six in-house applications, which are in charge of providing the financial data necessary for the correct monitoring of financial risks and the production of regulatory financial reports. You will lead and keep engage 2 to 3 teams composed by business analyst, technical lead, software developers and Application support.

Main responsibilities

·         IT - Delivery management & Production support
o   Oversee the acquisition and development of software systems in organizational units.
o   Reach agreement on plans for projects and services provided by the team
o   Ensure the projects, activities and tasks under the team’s responsibility are performed within quality standards, on schedule and cost-effectively
o   Oversee the development of Proof-of-Concept/ solutions and provide technical expertise on the development of software and platform features, ensuring that appropriate security and risk factors are considered.
o   Manage budget and capacity allocation according to priorities communicated by functional manager
o   Ensure each solution developed by the team fulfills the client needs
o   Monitor the results and quality of the different software solutions and projects implemented in the organization.
o   Ensure seamless project deliveries and production support for head office

·         Partnership and communication
o   Analyze status reporting of team activities against the program plan or schedule
o   Interface with the Head of department, head-office partners and user sponsors informed of task accomplishment, issues and status
o   Serve as a focal point to communicate and resolve interface and integration issues with other teams and business partners
o   Escalate issues which cannot be resolved within the team
o   Provide guidance to the team based on management direction

Qualifications and Profile

Mandatory

·         At least 10 years in Software development in managing software and applications with about 5 years of experience in financial institutions

·         Subject matter expert on in-house application development

·         Well versed with extended team management, stakeholder management

·         Knowledge and/or hands on working experience a technological environment involving technical architecture and design, implementation, DevOps

·         Excellent communication, interpersonal and logical skills.

·         Customer service oriented and a strong team player.

·         Ability to work under pressure and a commitment to solving issues.

 

Good to have

Exposure to Data Processing and Storage technologies and architecture
Exposure to Accounting and Financial risks (Basel 3, LCR, NSFR)
