Job summary

 The Department and position

 

The department is responsible for development and maintenance of Capital Market applications used by worldwide sales users.

“Run the bank” is the first mission of IT department. It involves many front line IT professionals who understand the nature of business operations, timing of activities & data flowing through internal and external systems. They are continuously working with business users, infrastructure engineer and system managers.

The role will focus primarily on the build and run in-house component platform in line with the major global projects with a high value budget. You will lead and keep engage 10 team members composed by business analyst, technical lead, software developers and Application support.

Main responsibilities

In line with this, you would be expected to be fully accountable and responsible of your team deliveries on schedule, in conformance to the bank’s policies and standards and within agreed levels of quality.

You will be ensuring success criteria are defined upfront to promote alignment and actively manage to expected project outcomes in line with the program outcomes.

As part of an integrated organization across 3 main sites (Paris, SQY, Singapore), you will forge close relationships with program director, others team leads, architecture functions and quality assurance teams. There will be a limited travel aspect to this role (approx. 25%).

A strong maturity in project management is required as you will be part of the project committee, reporting to the program director the progress highlights with key performance indicator, evaluating risk assessment and proposing mitigation, ensuring transparency throughout project lifecycle.

 

Team and expertise management

·         Ensure operational efficiency of her teams in their activities

·         Guide the team to achieve the development goals set in conjunction with activities need

·         Develop a good autonomy of the team members while conducting day to day activities

·         Define and manage the collective objectives of the team and the individual ones

·         Ensure the good culture and mind-set in term of compliance and security matters across all team members

 

Delivery management

·         Development and enhancement of Sales solutions

·         Ensure a good composition of the team to cover the delivery needs

 

Support domain strategy and interface with business

·         Interface with effective communication with business stakeholders to align their needs and collect their feedback

·         Interface with division (“filiere”) covered by this activity

·         Foster innovation and change management aligned with global CMI strategy        

 

 

Secondary duties

·         Serving as backup person for absent ISAP/CMI Manager and ISAP/CMI/Market Risk Members when required

·         Other duties may be assigned

Application Deliveries
·         Organize requirement management,

Supplementary Information

·         Guide the functional team to update the specifications if necessary.
·         Development of the enhancements ensuring good quality and best design practices are applied

Application monitoring responsibilities
·         Define and implement application monitoring
·         Supervise and monitor daily and monthly chains and handle user request by working closely with project, infrastructure and production teams
·         Support overnight batches which take place during the Singapore Morning and early afternoon time to ensure that problems are swiftly analysed and resolved to minimize down-time.
·         Process and issue daily, weekly and monthly reporting on data quality of risk chain in which the activity is usually more intense on monthly run.

Incidents and Requests management (business users and others IT teams)
·         Provide level 1 and level 2 application support to the business users (trader, risk manager, market risk monitoring operator, back-office and middle-office analyst)
·         Analyze and manage incidents/problems/requests coming

Problem management and continuous improvement
·         Prepare and maintain knowledge base for each of the application in the scope of the team in coordination with the build team and the ops team
·         Collaborate with build team to assess the priority of the problem and follow-up the resolution, even contributing to the definition of long term solution.

Minimal education level

Bachelor Degree / BSc Degree or equivalent

Degree and above in relevant discipline

Qualifications and Profile

Mandatory

  • At least 10 years in Software development or DevOps team
    At least 5 years in application support leadership
    Solid experience with business interaction
    Solid knowledge in trade life cycle, especially pre-trade processes and sales/trader workflow
    At least 5-year experience with international investment banking domain
     

Good to have

  • Understanding of financial products (Treasury, FX, Bonds, Credit, Rates, IRD…)
    Exposure to Capital Market FO/BO system (E.g. Summit, Kondor+, Murex…)
    Exposure to regulatory reporting

Education & Work Experience:

  • Senior level (min. 10 years)
    Master’s degree in relevant specialities
