Summary
- Supervise and provide support towards a team of 6 credit analysts within the FI team (four analysts based in Hong Kong and the other in Seoul, one in Shanghai).
- Focus on timely submission of quality credit requests with submission to HO for final decision to accommodate business needs. Maintain quality FI portfolio with timely completion of annual reviews balanced with thorough counterparty risk analysis and industry update.
- Proactively manage the FI portfolio with on-going monitoring and reporting any material / adverse development, in order to take pre-emptive actions. Follow up action on the portfolio and on risk issues arising out of daily anomalies, late ratings and break clause condition.
- Be a value added RPC-FSP AP member by continuing building of good working relationship with business lines, Legal, RPC-AP, RPC-FSP Paris to smooth processing of all credit files.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the quality of FI portfolio to minimize credit losses with on-going monitoring of financial market development with anticipation of potential risks. Take proactive risk measures towards adverse credit events and news appropriately. Ensure appropriate escalation to the management and to the concerned parties as appropriate.
- Ensure efficiency of RPC-FSP AP credit process: Assure timely processing of credit requests and meeting annual review deadline for counterparties under coverage and achieve annual rating validation from RPC-FSP Paris.
- Maintain and monitor quality of credit applications: Ensure high quality of counterparty credit risk and rating assessment through thorough understanding of industry and appropriate evaluation of the counterparty’s financial strength, striking optimal balance between risk and business development. This will be complemented with a review of the profitability of the relationship by business line and by product (RWA + PI reading).
- Ensure that RPC-FSP AP’s involvement on ISDA/CSA/NAFMII/GMRA negotiation process is limited to articulation of credit related parameters only. Seek pertinent approval on documentation issues if required.
- Support the development of credit analysts: Ensuring that credit procedures are followed in accordance with internal policies and guidelines; strengthen understanding of Basel requirements, internal risk systems / tools, as well as in accordance with local regulatory requirements.
- Further develop FI credit analytical skills, knowledge with investment and corporate banking products, understanding of target financial markets and related regulation and accounting requirements.

University undergraduate degree or above
More than 15 years of experience in the banking industry with deep knowledge on the counterparty risk management.
Good understanding of the countries under coverage, capital market products and documentation requirement with balance nature and good communication skills.
