Job summary

Summary

The Head of Infrastructure Capital Markets (ICM) for EMEA is in charge of a team which

- seeks to originate debt capital market mandates (including European and US Private Placements as well as public Project Bonds); and

- executes European Private Placements with relevant teams in charge of syndication/distribution and investor coverage, for infrastructure, transportation, telecom and power companies / projects.

The Infrastructure Capital Markets (ICM) EMEA team, notwithstanding the location within ERA, is a transverse platform serving clients in all the ERA and CLF TMT sectors, in close collaboration with DAR (Distribution & Asset Rotation) and Securitisation with a shared ambition. Whilst the team will be responsible for the execution of European Private Placement, other debt financing mandates will continue to be executed by relevant teams, including DCM for unsecured public bonds and Securitisation Americas for US Private Placements.

The ICM European platform is a strategic activity in the context of CACIB global ambition in advisory and balance sheet optimization.

The Team is expected to be split between Paris and London sitting next to the ERA advisory teams (TAG & SFA).

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities as Head of the team
- Manage the Infrastructure Capital Markets team in Europe (training, allocation of deal flow

- Origination and structuring and execution

 Origination

- Originate - together with Coverage and CLF TMT & ERA – EUR & US private placements for EMEA based clients on CLF TMT & ERA sectors (infrastructure, transportation and power) through pitches to corporates and financial sponsors

- Assist Securitisation & Debt Capital Markets in the origination of public project / structured bonds

- Assist in the development of new business opportunities;

- Promote cross selling and cooperation with other departments of the bank (ERA, GMD, DAR, Coverage) by promoting an agnostic approach in terms of product and format;

- Collation and development of client / product presentations;

- Detailed analysis of transaction opportunities.

 Structuring / Execution 

- Structuring and execution of European private placements (bond or loan formats dedicated to institutional investors) transactions;

- Discussions with issuers, investors (in coordination with DAR), lawyers, and other third parties, as well as all relevant internal groups (including legal, compliance, credit, syndicate, distribution etc.) for the execution of transactions;

- Coordinate with the relevant teams in DAR and GMD Syndicate which lead the syndicate and distribution for transaction execution.

Secondary Responsibilities
- Maintain good knowledge of the investor base relying on the various sales force (DAR and GMD)
- Organise and assist in the performance of various team responsibilities, including in the preparation of certain reporting; Maintain intelligence of the Project bond market / deals
