- Manages the ITB Export Finance and Solutions (“EFS”) teams in Asia Pacific, in coordination with the ITB Country Heads
- Defines the business and origination strategy of EFS in APAC together with the ITB APAC Head, SCOs, Coverage, ITB Heads and ITB Business Lines Regional Heads
- Ensures strategic and execution alignment with ITB Strategy through close coordination with ITB Global Head, SRO and respective ITB Business/Product Lines’ Global Heads
- Member of ITB Asia-Pacific Executive Committee
- Develop Export Finance activities in Singapore and Asian countries with no EFS presence. This includes internal and external marketing, origination and, when needed, acting as Deal Leader/Transaction Manager of an Export Finance transaction
- Manage and support other teams in developing EFS activities in the Asia- Pacific region
- Contribute to EFS revenues increase and profitability in line with the Business Line’s strategy and the Bank’s risk policy. This includes structuring and executing assigned EFS transactions and preparing internal and external marketing documents
Main Responsibilities
- Manages the ITB Export Finance and Solutions (“EFS”) teams in Asia Pacific, in coordination with the ITB Country Heads
- Manages the Asia-Pacific EFS team and support, whenever required, in structuring and executing inbound and outbound transactions and make sure of the proper implementation with the relevant EFS team member(s) in the network and other internal parties concerned
- Market the MNCs based in Singapore to originate EFS opportunities in Asia- Pacific. This includes an active marketing and effective collaboration with the relevant export desks and Singapore-based business lines.
- Maintain contact with banks in the region with a view to gather market intelligence; develop partnerships for transactions as well as opportunities to work jointly where appropriate
- Directly lead the origination efforts of the EFS activity in the Asian countries where there is no EFS presence. Review of the APAC Country Risk strategies. This includes defining with the Head of ITB Asia-Pacific the objectives for these countries, and when appropriate, per clients (notably within the budget process) and make sure of proper implementation with relevant SCO
- In charge of defining and following with appropriate KPIs and reporting the performance of the EFS activity in APAC
Legal and Regulatory Responsibilities:
- Comply with all applicable legal, regulatory and internal Compliance requirements, including, but not limited to, the Singapore Compliance manual and Compliance policies and procedures as issued from time to time; Financial Security requirements, including, but not limited to, the prevention of Financial Crime and Fraud including reporting obligations to the Money Laundering Reporting Officer/Compliance Officer.
- Maintain appropriate knowledge to ensure to be fully qualified to undertake the role. Complete all mandatory training as required to attain and maintain competence.
Masters/ Bachelors degree holders, with strong academic background in Finance, Economics, Financial Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or any other relevant specializations.
