Overview of the Team
Interns will be placed in Financing and Trade – Loan Support Operations Team, a critical function supporting the Commercial Lending space including the Supply Chain fiancé business, Commercial loan processing for Agency, Bilateral and Participation assets. This team provides control and operational support for transactions initiated by Front Office, ensuring that all processes are executed efficiently and accurately.
Interns will gain hands-on experience working with internal teams (Front Office Trading, Middle Office, Risk, Compliance, IT) and external stakeholders (Clients, Near Shoring Partners, auditors).
Overview of the Role
During this 8-week internship, you will work alongside the Letter of Credit (LC) team to support the processing and management of letters of credit transactions.
Your key responsibilities will include:
• Assist in Transaction Processing & Documentation
• Support the team in ensuring letters of credit transactions align with client instructions and compliance procedures.
• Help review draft Letters of Credit and flag any discrepancies for further discussion.
• Assist in maintaining and organizing LC documentation using systems like LCMS, ACBS, and Microsoft Word.
• Support Compliance & Risk Monitoring
• Monitor pending inquiries, discrepancies, and document resolution to ensure all items are actively reviewed.
• Help ensure transactions meet compliance standards by checking supporting documentation.
• Assist in tracking maturing transactions and confirming appropriate actions have been taken.
• Coordinate with Internal & External Teams
• Assist in preparing client confirmations and amendment notices for distribution.
• Support the clearing and reconciliation of open cash items.
• Work with the team to ensure SWIFT messages and transaction processing follow internal guidelines.
This role will provide hands-on exposure to trade finance, risk management, and financial operations, offering valuable experience in global banking transactions.

Minimal Qualifications
- Eligible to work in the United States.
- No visa sponsorship required now or in the future (Including F1, OPT, and CPT).
- In the penultimate year of undergraduate studies, graduating between December 2025 – May 2026.
