Job summary

The FIG Syndicate desk can be an extremely busy place to work and the attention to details and understanding of risk and regulation is key. The desk is very hands on and works extremely closely as a team.

Exposure, visibility and perspectives will be offered on day one

Strong emphasize will be put on attitude and skills will be trained on the job permanently  

 

  • Interact with DCM teams and Sales Forces to bring new bond issues in the Euro/USD primary markets;
  • Design market updates / primary market pricing / pitch books and coordinate marketing of new issues / roadshow organisation;
  • Liaise with sales on primary deal axes / trade ideas / booking of roadshow and handle follow-up + any issues that may come up thereafter;
  • Execution of new issues (book-building);
  • Liaise, maintain, develop dialogue with key internal (DCM/Sales/Trading) and external business partners, including key Bank & Insurance issuer clients for market updates, in strong coordination with the senior members of the FIG Syndicate desk;
  • Monitor and co—ordinate the transaction management activities pre and post pricing (ebook/reconciliation/hedges);
  • Keep abreast of funding plans / funding needs / market and macro-economic developments;
  • Contribute to discussions with the other members of Syndicate Trading Primary teams when appropriate to review market strategy and exchange ideas and any other pertinent information related to primary market business;
  • Keep market statistic / reporting / pricing data points up to date.

Candidate criteria

Minimal education level

Bachelor Degree / BSc Degree or equivalent

Academic qualification / Speciality

Recognised Bachelor’s degree or above in business administration, Finance, Economics or any other related discipline

Experience

Proven track record in client facing and Syndicate manager role

Required skills

Very good presentation and analytical skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Proficiency in MS Excel, Power-point and Bloomberg Terminal

Languages

Excellent Business Level English. Good level in Italian, Spanish, or French will be a plus
