Crédit Agricole CIB’s Export Finance within the International Trade & Transaction Banking (ITB) division is one of the leading providers of international and cross-border finance. For German ITB department we are looking for an


Export Finance Originator (f/m/d)


Your mission


  • Direct marketing, sales, P&L and strategic responsibility for selected multinational corporate clients (with multi/single product needs for ITB) with regard to origination, structuring and closing of cross-border financing projects, in particular by (structured) ECA export finance and ECA covered project finance schemes
  • Identifying prospects with Export Finance business potential and development of the business relationship
  • Developing existing business relationships with Euler Hermes and OeKB relevant underwriting and product teams
  • Building-up and intensifying of the interbank relationships to leading German and international banks active in the Export Finance area to originate execute of Export Finance transactions
  • Front-Office-Management of CA-CIB Germany’s existing ETF-Portfolio as well as development and implementation of restructuring concepts with relevant internal departments
  • Monitoring and identifying inherent country, corporate and transactions risks
  • Drafting, negotiating and finalizing Export Finance related documentation with relevant internal teams and external advisors
  • Identifying and developing innovating products and solutions to improve ITB Germany’s market position

Candidate criteria

Minimal education level

Postgraduate degree – MA/MSc/PhD/Doctorate or equivalent

Academic qualification / Speciality

Master in business administration, economics, law, finance or comparable degree

Level of minimal experience

3-5 years


  • Min. 4 - 6 years of experience in ECA covered export and project finance
  • Deep know-how in Euler Hermes and preferably also in OeKB covered markets
  • Relevant knowledge of German law and preferably other common laws in ECA markets

Required skills

  • Ability to draft, negotiate and close Export Finance agreements and other ancillary documents
  • Strong client orientation, sales skills and high communication and analytical skills
  • Well balanced personality and ability to work under pressure, across disciplines and within teams

Technical skills required

  • Elaborated PC-skills, including all major Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint


Fluent in German and English language, preferably further languages
