Job summary

Primary Function:

 

Associate/Senior Associate for one of the business origination teams that is focused on sourcing new business in the North American energy & infrastructure sectors.  The candidate will support the Transactors on the team in their efforts to pitch for business, formulate proposals, process credit applications and close financings.

 

Responsibilities: 

 

  • Supports the Group’s efforts to identify business opportunities for CACIB’s global clients as well as selected proprietary clients of EIG Americas.
  • Support the preparation of proposals to the client identifying the specifics of the project, indicative terms and conditions, CACIB credentials and the team organization.
  • Support team’s efforts to execute financial advisory assignments as assigned.
  • Participating in preparation and execution of pitches to the clients in coordination with the relationship manager(s).
  • Participating in preparation of the credit application including a description of the transaction, presentation of the main features, especially focusing on risk analysis.
  • Completing all the internal worksheets and applications (rating grid, environmental screening, profitability calculation, know your customer forms and other compliance items).
  • Build/review a financial model based on the contract terms and economic assumptions. Maintain or acquire skills to competently handle financial modelling as assigned.  
  • Participate and assist in negotiation and finalization of finance documentation
  • Participate and assist in undertaking due diligence in concertation with the banks external advisers where relevant

 

Salary Range: $130K-$165K

Candidate criteria

Minimal education level

Bachelor Degree / BSc Degree or equivalent

Academic qualification / Speciality

  • Degree in finance, economics or related field required
  • MBA and/or CFA preferred

Level of minimal experience

3-5 years

Experience

4-5 years of project finance experience.

Prior experience in building and reviewing financial models. 

Familiarity with energy and infrastructure projects.

Required skills

Excellent written and oral communication skills.
