Job summary

Summary

 

  • Electronic trading has become an increasingly important component of the global FICC and Equities market landscape, contributing to changes in the market structure, price construction and distribution and liquidity provision. Trading venues have become prominent actors and regulators are increasingly looking at electronic execution in order to assess and mitigate the risks generated by electronic and algorithmic execution.
  • In this context, the Electronic Trading Venue Management team forms the first line of defence and is in charge of the management and governance of electronic trading venues to ensure adherence to all applicable requirements, either internal or external, to trade safely on trading venues and generate business growth.
  • This position is a joint venture between the COO Trading team and the Electronic Client Connectivity Team, to benefit from synergies in terms of workflows and process knowledge.
  • The key responsibilities of the team are:

a.   On-boarding and management of Traders’ parameters onto trading venues (Personal Identifiable Information)

b.   Coordination and management of the list of approved Electronic Trading Venues (Databroker) and the related market counterparties

c.    Internal coordination to ensure CACIB abides by trading venue requirements (processes, annual due diligence questionnaire etc.) as well as relevant internal rules

  • The candidate, based in London, will benefit from a strong exposure to commercial and trading initiatives and will work closely with GMD teams as well as Support Functions to implement and run a sound operating framework for trading venues.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Coordinate the setup of Traders onto trading venues (incl. annual internal recertification and reviews as well processes related to Personal Identifiable Information)
  • Management of the counterparty base onto trading venues to minimise settlement risk (implementing the proper framework with CLD and CPL/FS)
  • Own the eTAP template for new platforms as well as the related platform on-boarding policy and maintain them up-to-date in partnership with the second line of defence
  • Coordinate the implementation of requirements defined by trading venues (especially in their rulebooks or contracts with CACIB), in partnership with relevant teams within the bank
  • Institutionalise the information and knowledge on electronic platforms (targeting the use of a database) and ensure auditability and business continuity
  • Assist in any ad hoc projects linked to the management of trading venues (business development, control framework…)

 

SPECIAL ROLE REQUIREMENTS

 

  • Ability to gather stakeholders and coordinate projects to abide by requirements on a timely basis
  • Prior experience in global markets and awareness of the relevant regulatory environment
  • Fluent in English
