Job summary

Summary

The Director of Insurance Sector Coverage in the FIG group is responsible for senior-level client coverage of life reinsurance, insurance and affiliated asset managers clients in the US and Bermuda markets. The role focuses on building C-Suite relationships with a subset of these clients that results in the origination of strategic, revenue generating high value transactions.  The Director of insurance is responsible globally for the relationship with his/her clients and reports to the Head of Insurance Americas Coverage locally.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead coverage for public and private insurance companies primarily in the life sector
  • Develop trusted advisor relationships with CEO’s, CFO’s, CIO’s, Chief Actuaries and Treasurers
  • Drive strategic dialogue around capital management, growth strategy and balance sheet optimization
  • Maintain ongoing engagement with his/her large insurers in relevant markets in Asia and Europe

 

 

Salary Range: $200K - $250K

Qualifications

  • 10 -12+ years of corporate and investment banking experience with an insurance sector focus and/or life insurance sector experience with a focus on strategic, complex capital and liquidity management transactions.
  • Proven transaction leadership experience
  • Deep knowledge of statutory accounting and GAAP/IFRS
  • Familiar with Insurance reserving and embedded value methodologies
  • Rating agency capital considerations knowledge
  • Commercial mindset with demonstrated revenue generation ability
