Job summary

Responsible for assisting TMT Finance team senior members in the marketing, analysis, execution and portfolio management of transactions originated in TMT Finance EMEA. 

Working with and assisting members of the TMT Finance EMEA Team to support complex and typically structured TMT leveraged and infrastructure transactions in the EMEA region. Work with members of CLF Leveraged Finance and syndicate / distribution on TMT capital markets executions including high yield bond, term loan B and credit risk insurance

Key Responsibilities
·       Assist senior members of the deal teams in the marketing efforts (eg. pitch production)
·       Assist senior members of the deal teams in the full execution process from origination to closing
·       Quality deliverables
-        Support senior team members in credit and origination by preparing quality deliverables: models, credit papers, pitches
-        Prepare, develop and maintain up to date financial models on our clients and prospects
-        Read and assess Due Diligence reports (commercial, financial, tax & legal) and flag any perceived significant impact to be factored into our models and thought process
·       Speed and reliability
-        Deliver as per timelines indicated by seniors on the deal team (model, credit applications, presentations, term sheet reviews and other documents as relevant)
-        Drill down to details cash flow projections, understanding key drivers and KPIs with most impact

·       Proactivity and volume
-        Ability to work on several transactions at the same time. Manage priorities between different transactions, and seek guidance in case of doubt
-        Proactively flag to seniors within the deal / client team any potential issues, ideas, or commercial opportunities, identified as part of the work process
-        Connect to earning calls, banks presentations of our clients and report to the deal team about most interesting points. Check from time to time performance and share prices of our listed clients and report any major moves. Keep track of KPIs and current trading on separate xls. files for each client (to be able to react quickly on model updates and credit applications)

  • Familiarity / experience with in the banking industry
  • Familiarity with media and telecom structured transactions and/or capital markets
  • Some familiarity with financial modelling and accounting
  • Understanding of corporate finance techniques

Technical skills required

  • Credit and financial analysis
  • In-depth review of due diligences reports (financial, strategic, legal, ESG etc.) and structure memorandum
  • In-depth review of legal documentation
  • Build-up and understanding of models not limited to LTFG
  • Knowledge of all structuration aspects (debt nature, financial, legal, fiscal)
  • Assist in the preparation and execution of all internal credit submissions and approvals
  • Assist distribution in syndication execution and credit risk insurance
  • Support to signing and closing and portfolio follow-up
  • Good level of understanding of sector and risk management to create financial structures appropriate for client needs and bank requirements.
