Job summary
Summary
The Corporate & Leveraged Finance group within Crédit Agricole CIB advises, originates, structures and executes bank and institutional leveraged loans and high yield bond financings for private equity backed and corporate clients, with leading market positions in Europe and a strong presence globally. The team is looking to hire an Assistant Director in London, with the role expected to involve a significant level of work on new / live large-cap leveraged finance transactions across sectors for a wide variety of clients of the bank. The role will also include assisting senior staff on the management of the portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
· Assist the team in the preparation of marketing materials and pitches to both private equity and corporate clients.
· Conduct analysis of markets (business / sector / transactional / pricing comparables) and credit analysis of potential leveraged finance issuers.
· Review of Information Memoranda / business plans / due diligence / term sheets and documentation.
· Financial modelling of transactions.
· Drafting early stage and full credit applications.
· Monitoring of portfolio company trading & developments / account analysis / waiver request processing etc.
· KYC – oversee new client on-boarding & annual review work.
· Drafting annual review papers.
Review and negotiate legal documentation.
· Assistance to senior management in all other areas of the business as required.
Precise split of time will be determined on an ongoing basis dependent on business requirements at the time.
Management and reporting
· Assistance to Directors and Managing Directors in all areas of the business as required. Line of reporting through listed titles to Departmental Head.

Legal and Regulatory Responsibilities
· Comply with all applicable legal, regulatory and internal Compliance requirements, including, but not limited to, the London Compliance manual and Compliance policies and procedures as issued from time to time; Financial Security requirements, including, but not limited to, the prevention of Financial Crime and Fraud including reporting obligations to the Money Laundering Reporting Officer.
· Maintain appropriate knowledge to ensure to be fully qualified to undertake the role. Complete all mandatory training as required to attain and maintain competence.

Experience
Essential:
>5 years of experience in financial services
>3 years in a leveraged finance environment with involvement in credit analysis

A knowledge and understanding of the financial sponsor community
