Job summary

Key Responsibilities
Role is 50% Syndicate / 50% Sales.  Primary responsibility is to support the TMT/Digital Infrastructure franchise in the origination, pricing, structuring, investor development, distribution (primary and secondary), closing, and execution of syndicated transactions.  Secondary responsibility is to support other CLF Distribution sectors (i.e. Leveraged Finance, Fund Solutions Group, and Corporate Investment Grade).

Syndicate

· Develop and maintain databases, including structuring comps and investor analytics. 

· Assist in preparing marketing material (pitches, teasers, lender presentations, etc.), syndication strategies/liquidity analysis, legal documentation, underwriting opinions and market reads/commentary.   Must be proficient in financial modelling to build and sensitize capital structure alternatives for pitching. 

· Assist in preparing DAR Opinions, Market Reads/Commentary, liquidity analysis, and other internal documents for credit approvals.

· Participate in the drafting, negotiation, and execution of legal term sheets, commitment documents, and credit documents in liaison with external and internal legal counsels.

· Work with other team members, including credit, legal, relationship managers, middle office, operations, and senior management (both locally and overseas) to ensure the timely and accurate information gathering and analysis. 

· Prepare post-closing documents including, but not limited to, fee memos and closing memos.

· Submit league table credit to third-party providers and confirm that appropriate credit was received by CACIB.

· Proactively seek out new investors (banks and institutional) to deepen CACIB’s syndication network

· Provide any other support and assistance as requested by the team.

Sales

· Coordinate with Loan Syndicate and SLT to maintain and develop relationships with banks and institutional investors to drive loan sales in both primary and secondary markets, in addition to frequent investor coverage followed by detailed Call Reports.

· Assist senior distributors in conducting sales calls and communicating with prospective investors as part of the distribution process. 

· Coordinate with the Loan Syndicate, Secondary Loan Sales and Trading (“SLT”), and Metier to facilitate loan trading and portfolio sales / purchase opportunities in the secondary market;

· Liaise with the Asset Rotation Optimization (“ARO”) Team on any existing or new production where secondary sell down is required;

· Assists DAR teams with secondary sell down strategies for overhold positions;

· Provide regular feedback on market trends and liquidity to assist in pricing of loans;

· Review legal documentation in respect of transferability and confidentiality provisions.

Supplementary Information

Key Requirements

· BA/BS degree (Finance Degree)

· 1+ years of relevant experience in banking preferable including TMT and Leveraged Finance

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills, “sales” personality, and ability to multi-task

· Team player, flexible with strong work ethos

· Familiarity with banking and capital markets a plus

· Strong analytical skills and presentation skills

· Comprehensive background in accounting/finance/economics
