Job summary

We are looking for an

Analyst / Associate Originator (f/m/d) Acquisition Finance & Advisory (AFA)

for a growing business in the German DOD team.

Debt Optimisation & Distribution (DOD) is in charge of originating, structuring and arranging syndicated and bilateral credit facilities. Through its AFA franchise, DOD is also in charge of advising clients on all strategic financing matters from capital structure optimisation to event-driven solutions (e.g. recaps, acquisitions). DOD is also responsible for underwriting and distributing loans on primary and secondary markets on behalf of DOD origination, Structured Finance (SFI) and International Trade & Transaction Banking (ITB).

DOD AFA is structured around 3 main Event-driven activities: 

  •  Corporate Acquisition Finance (CAF)
  • Innovation & Strategic Advisory (ISA)
  • Rating & Capital Advisory (RCA)

Your missions

  • Support senior team members with a view to originating and executing bilateral, syndicated and event driven financings as well as financial advisory mandates
  •  Analyse companies’ business model, capital structure, financial policy
  •  Position and benchmark the companies within their peer group within the industry / close industries
  • Production of comprehensive financing pitch books for corporate clients in liaison with other business lines (DCM, ECM and GIB)
  •  Financial modelling, including cash flow analysis & financial projections
  •  Drafting of business opportunity memoranda ("BOM") to be submitted to General Management
  • Preparation of transaction requests (risk analysis, peer analysis, transaction structure, transaction profitability, production of bank and stressed business cases, etc.) and coordination of the credit process (liaison with RPC, CPM/ALM, Coverage)

  • Up to 3 years of relevant professional experience in corporate finance (modelling, financial analysis, accounting and rating) gained in a first permanent job or relevant internships
  • Familiarity with banking and capital market products

Required skills

  • Team Player with good Interpersonal Skills and the ability to work with product lines and colleagues in different locations
  • Flexible self-starter with strong intrinsic motivation and responsiveness and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English - presents ideas in a clear, concise and constructive manner


Fluency in German and / or French is a clear plus
