Job summary

Join the dynamic UK GIB team at CA-CIB in London, dedicated to M&A in the infrastructure, power, renewables, energy transition and TMT Infra sectors. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the origination and execution of M&A transactions, working closely with a well-established team that reports to the Head of GIB Europe in Paris. Ideal candidates will possess strong analytical skills, a keen understanding of financial modelling and a proactive approach to learning and teamwork.

 

Key Responsibilities are, but are not limited to:

 

  • Assist in the preparation of marketing pitches in full coordination with the GIB team, Sector Coverage, and financing product teams
  • Help in the execution of mandates (buy side or sell side), including process organisation, financial analysis, and the creation of presentation materials and transaction support documents
  • Review in-house training materials to enhance understanding of valuations and other M&A skills
  • Seek guidance from experienced M&A bankers on technical aspects and participate actively in team meetings
  • Engage in the day-to-day activities of the department, ensuring a smooth workflow and effective communication.

Candidate criteria

Minimal education level

Bachelor Degree / BSc Degree or equivalent

Academic qualification / Speciality

  • Graduated within the past 18 months with a 2:1 or equivalent

Experience

• Prior work experience in modelling, M&A, Corporate Finance, or investments team is advantageous

• Basic knowledge of valuation, modelling techniques, financial theory, and accounting
• Familiarity with the Investment Banking sector and M&A

Required skills

• Excellent analytical and numerical skills, attention to detail, and strong writing and communication skills
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, with a self-starter attitude
• Quick learner, eager to advance skills in a new environment

Technical skills required

• Strong computer proficiency, especially in Excel and PowerPoint
