Job summary

Join our dynamic EMEA Power Team within the global EIG business line, focusing on Power, Utilities, and Renewables. This role involves engaging in structured finance solutions, handling new transactions, and supporting the implementation of EIG strategy across the EMEA regions. We are looking for a proactive and skilled Intern who thrives under pressure, is proficient in financial modelling and analysis, and possesses strong IT and communication skills. The ideal candidate will effectively manage multiple projects and navigate complex financial structures.

 

 

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

 

 

  • Participate in the origination, analysis, negotiation, and closing of new transactions, focusing primarily on junior functions within deal-teams
  • Carry out financial analysis, financial modelling, preparation of pitches, and credit applications
  • Take responsibility for specific segments of a transaction as delegated by the team leader
  • Analyse project contracts, term sheets, and documentation with a heavy emphasis on financial modelling
  • Coordinate the financial modelling aspects for project financings, creating and running financial models
  • Engage in marketing efforts, sectorial research, and other commercial or administrative duties as assigned
  • Client-facing responsibilities related to transactions

Experience

• Familiarity with Project Finance and experience in risk analysis and cashflow modelling

Required skills

• Excellent numeracy, analytical research, and modelling skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to interact effectively at all levels.
• Proactive, team-player, able to work well under pressure, prioritise and meet tight deadlines.

Technical skills required

• Good IT skills – advanced knowledge of Excel software and competence in Visual Basic commands applicable to project finance models.
