About the position
The US Analyst will be assisting in the BAU works of the Investigations & Monitoring Team (CPL/FS) team members. The team is responsible for sanctions and anti-money laundering alerts review to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, identify potentially suspicious activities etc. The role requires collaboration within a team, liaising with various stakeholders, and keen interest in regulatory and compliance topics in the financial industry, while dealing with individual workloads effectively.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the review AML monitoring alerts to ensure compliance with BSA/AML regulatory standards and document findings accordingly.
- Assist in terms of investigations on individuals, corporates, and activities deemed possibly suspicious.
- Assist in the review and dispositioning of Sanctions Screening alerts generated from the Bank's nightly scrub against sanctions lists.
- Contribution in terms of supporting searches on legal and natural persons following FinCEN 314(a) requests.
- Ensure alignment with audit trail duties to ensure ease of review and verification.
- Craft minutes and summaries related to various internal/external meetings and committees.
- Participate in various internal and/or external and relevant training sessions.
- Provide assistance in any other duties falling under the scope of the Investigations & Monitoring team.
