Job summary


The Immigration Specialist oversees firm-wide immigration programs and assists foreign nationals with immigration procedures. The incumbent will ensure that all paperwork, including applications for immigration and visas, are completed accurately and in a timely manner. Additional responsibilities will include ensuring compliance with all applicable rules and regulations, with keen focus on how this impacts the Bank’s internal policies and practices and acting as a subject matter expert (SME) -- while relying on discretion and judgment to accomplish goals. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to queries from managers and employees with guidance on all immigration-related matters, including visa processing, documentation, visa options, risks, etc.
  • Liaise with counsel on immigration cases and other immigration-related subject matters.
  • Handle all requests for new visas, visa extensions, visa renewals, and green cards – from procedural inception to completion.
  • Facilitate all aspects of the PERM Labor Certification process, including finalizing job descriptions, postings, and reviewing of resumes to determine candidate suitability.
  • Monitor visa expiration dates with diligence and accuracy, and take appropriate action as needed.
  • Maintain I-9 forms, including reverifications, delete I-9s by retention dates. Conduct internal audits as necessary. 
  • Maintain the Public Access Files (PAFs), and purge files upon expiration. 
  • Remain duly informed about current immigration policies and procedures. Notify the relevant Business Partner and employee about important changes. 
  • Register for the Paris E-Visa Expedited Scheduling Program on an annual basis.
  • Update and amend Blanket L petition as required. 
  • Assist with the implementation and updates of a firm-wide immigration policy.
  • Process immigration-related invoices and visa-related reimbursements. 
  • Act as back-up assistance and coverage for VIE (Volontariat International en Entreprise) and Short-term Trainee (STT) matters, and provide input and assistance as needed to assist current VIE Specialist and Benefits Administrator with these programs. 
  • Provide back-up support to the Director of Global Mobility and Immigration on various expat matters. 
  • Leverage ability to communicate across business lines and geographies.

-1-2 years of relevant immigration experience.
-Experience with E-2, E-3, F-1, H-1B, J-1, L-1 and TN visas, and PERM green card process is preferred.
