Summary
The main purpose of the position is to support and improve front office systems for the Equity & Derivatives business line (Trading, Structuration/Pricing and Sales). The first mission is to provide functional and technical IT support to ensure stability of the business processes and operations across different front / middle / back office /risk and accounting related systems. The secondary missions are: the development and enhancement of trading/pricing tools and application, the automation of manual tasks on both business and IT side, the improvement of the IT processes and set up within the team.
Key Responsibilities
The role is centred around 3 major work leads for which the successful candidate will split his time equally:
Business Support Activity:
- To provide daily functional and technical support for front office trading system, middle and back office related systems to business users.
- To liaise with overseas IT teams for support, projects and implementations: Singapore, Paris and London.
- To provide system and process documentation to users
- To carry out local projects and business analysis on Asian request.
- To follow up on global project implementation related to Asian scope.
- To coordinate and participate in unit and user testing of applications
- Incident / request management
Developer Activity:
- To interpret and implement business requests on internal IT applications and/or external systems
- To develop/enhance and maintain existing local tools and applications
- To make first analysis for Paris Commando team and debugging on Excel VBA
- To liaise with overseas IT teams for projects and implementation: Paris
Process Improvement:
- Improve production processes by automating manual tasks and improving support / monitoring tools
- Keep up to date a database of knowledge about issues, root-causes and resolutions
- Keep up to date on functional and technical knowledge on applications / platforms covered
- Help to implement and develop agile framework within the team

Minimal education level
Bachelor Degree / BSc Degree or equivalent
Academic qualification / Speciality
Bachelor/Master Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering (Finance related minor is a plus)
Level of minimal experience
3-5 years
Experience
At least 3 years of experience for Analyst level and more than 5 years to be considered at Associate
At least 3 years in the financial industry, preferable in front office IT
Required skills
· Attention to details and multi-task skill - being able to handle different topics at the same time is crucial
· Phone Skills, Customer Focus and Customer Service are essential
· High level of energy and reactivity required for handling day to day issues efficiently
· Comfortable in working in a fast-paced environment and able to react quickly to incidents and urgent matters
· Strong team player. Enjoy delivering solutions to the business
· Proactive, innovative and passionate about technology and finance
· Highly motivated and responsible
Technical skills required
· Knowledge in production monitoring and alerting
· Proven years of VBA/SQL development (at least 3 years)
· Proficiency in scripting language: vbs, bat, PowerShell, Unix
· Knowledge/Experience in Python is a plus
· Experience in Agile, TDD and continuous delivery is a plus
Knowledge in C# and .NET Framework or Java 8 and Spring Framework appreciated (not mandatory for the role)
Languages
Fluent in English: Strong written and verbal communication skills at business level
