Job summary

Join our Coverage team as an intern, where you will support Coverage officers in financial analysis, research on prospects, pitch preparation, detailed KYC work, ongoing business activity, and internal client performance reviews. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong background in STEM or Finance, and an interest in Corporate and Investment Banking.

 

 

Key Responsibilities but not limited to:

 

  • Assist with end-to-end preparation of files for Know Your Customer (KYC) requirements
  • Conduct client and sectorial research
  • Perform financial/credit analysis of existing and prospective clients.
  • Prepare pitch books and client presentations.
  • Assist with client and bank marketing materials.
  • Analyse revenues, returns, and other profitability parameters of specific clients/portfolio.
  • Support the internal credit process.
  • Organise, attend, and write up meeting notes.
  • Follow clients’ strategy around energy transition.
  • Liaise with other departments of the bank including the international network of CACIB, product specialists, risks, back office, middle office, compliance, and legal.
  • Monitor monthly results to identify and rectify errors or anomalies.
  • Engage in any other business-related activity as allocated across CIB.

Minimal education level

Bachelor Degree / BSc Degree or equivalent

Academic qualification / Speciality

Degree level or equivalent in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, Banking, or Finance.

Experience

Knowledge of Corporate and Investment Banking, corporate lending, trade finance products, capital markets, and corporate credit analysis.

Required skills

  • Keen numeric curiosity and attention to detail.
  • Competency in reviewing financial statements and ability to build a basic financial model.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, self-starter, team player.

Technical skills required

  • Strong Excel / PowerPoint and Microsoft skills.
