The GMD electronic offering is a means to deliver the commercial and product strategy. In this context, the eSales team, embedded within the global Electronic Client Connectivity team, is a specialised, strategy and product-driven team, supporting the bank’s distribution strategy in its electronic dimension.

The eSales team is a key stakeholder in the definition and rollout of the GMD product and client strategy:

a.      Understand clients’ needs and evolving trading strategies to guide the bank’s distribution strategy

b.      Partner with internal and external clients to market the bank’s electronic offering and contribute to growth generation

c.      Lead change management efforts across the bank to extract value from market electronification


Key Responsibilities

1.      Electronic Distribution Strategy
a.      Focusing on the Asia ex-Japan region, contribute to the definition of the electronic product offering (development and expansion) and client strategy using feedback from clients as their electronic trading strategies evolve. Product-wise, the emphasis is on EM and USD products but other products (especially EUR) are also distributed to regional clients.
b.      Extract value from the growing market electronification, through cross-selling and cross-fertilisation with voice activity

2.      Electronic Client Execution Expertise
a.      Team up with Trading and voice Sales to meet customers and promote the bank’s electronic offering as well as understand clients’ ‘e’ needs in order to grow profitably our electronic footprint
b.      Be the primary contact point for client-related business on electronic trading platforms
c.      Understand and institutionalise the client’s dealer selection process to drive the commercial strategy
d.      Participate actively to the ‘e’ market community and provide intelligence to relevant Product Lines (on market structure, trends etc.)
e.      Have a proactive approach to internal and external marketing

3.      Performance Tracking
a.      Contribute to the development of statistics on electronic distribution performance at the relevant level (product, client, country), in partnership with Product Managers and Sales
b.      Use client information and data to solve problems and ensure adherence to the commercial strategy
c.      Lead the electronic activity input into business initiatives and provide ‘e’ information/data to be actioned

4.      Electronic Product Distribution
a.      Focusing on the Asia ex-Japan region, take ownership for the ‘e’-related action items of product

Academic qualification / Speciality

University degree or 10 years professional experience in capital markets flow products

Level of minimal experience

11 years and more


  • Experience in eSales either with a Bank or external platform vendor
