Job summary

The infrastructure coverage team has overall responsibility for the bank’s relationships with infrastructure funds. London is the global hub with senior bankers in Paris, Madrid, New York and Hong Kong, totalling fourteen people.

 

On a day-to-day basis, the team focuses on covering infrastructure investors globally by helping to originate deals, coordinate the delivery of the bank across different products (M&A, structured finance, equity bridges, leveraged finance, swaps, guarantees, fund financing, etc.), keep its clients updated on relevant opportunities and market themes, as well as oversee the success of transaction execution.

 

Responsibilities will include assisting and supporting the Coverage team with these efforts, coordination with the sector and product teams for business development, opportunity tracking, business pipeline management and budgeting, as well as the production of internal and external marketing materials.

 

This role is based in London with a global scope of work.

 

Key Responsibilities

The candidate will be part of the Infrastructure Coverage team.

·       Maintenance of client databases to reflect the current investment strategy of our clients
·       Assist in the preparation of presentations for client meetings and standard materials for external and internal marketing
·       Assist in the preparation of credit applications for internal credit committees
·       Monitoring of KYC for on-boarding and annual reviews
·       Maintenance of Customer Relationship Management tool inputs (meetings, client contacts, etc.) and financial metric outputs
·       Assist in budgeting, planning and client reporting across various internal systems
·       Assist in identifying investment opportunities for clients or financing opportunities for the bank
·       Coordination with the Global Investment Banking teams (M&A and structured equity), Energy and Real Assets (structured finance) teams and the Corporate and Leveraged Finance teams across sectors
·       Coordination with local coverage teams across products in North America, Europe, Latam and Asia

Competencies

·       Basic understanding of private capital activity, the infrastructure space and client base
·       Good understanding of financial concepts and metrics
·       Excellent interpersonal / communication skills and ability to work in a team
·       Desire to learn new skills and expand knowledge on Infrastructure and private capital activity
·       Ability to think pro-actively, to prioritise and to work reliably under pressure, to tight deadlines
·       Financial education background: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree
·       Excellent command of PowerPoint, Word and Excel

Candidate criteria

Minimal education level

Bachelor Degree / BSc Degree or equivalent

Academic qualification / Speciality

  • BA or BSc Degree with a good level of quantitative qualification, e.g. Maths to at least A-Level or equivalent

Experience

  • Previous experience in banking or a client-facing finance role is desirable.
  • Previous experience in an investment bank or infrastructure / private equity fund is also desirable.
