Job summary

We are seeking an Intern to assist in the execution of large and complex project finance transactions within the Infrastructure sector across the EMEA region. This role involves working under the supervision of deal team leaders and contributing to various aspects of project finance, including arranging and advisory services in debt advisory and asset & disposals advisory. The ideal candidate will demonstrate key competencies in financial analysis, risk assessment, and strategic planning.

 

Key Responsibilities are, but are not limited to:

 

  • Assist transaction team leaders in executing project finance/infrastructure transactions, including financial modelling, documentation, and due diligence processes
  • Support directors in sector-oriented business origination activities, including marketing efforts and sector-specific research
  • Ensure accurate reporting of Infrastructure client results through internal systems such as ClientLive, and assist in budgeting, planning, and reporting on client budgets
  • Prepare marketing materials for presentation to clients and assist in the preparation of credit applications
  • Cooperate actively with other business teams for cross-department activities as transactions may require
  • Assist in the syndication process, including drafting of information memorandums and handling Q&A with syndicate banks
  • Populate transactional internal systems, such as PI and transaction rating, under supervision
  • On an ad hoc basis, manage transactions in the portfolio, including waivers and annual reviews

Candidate criteria

Minimal education level

Bachelor Degree / BSc Degree or equivalent

Academic qualification / Speciality

  • Graduated within the past 18 months with a 2:1 minimum or equivalent

Experience

• Experience in project finance, including internships or work experience in related fields

Required skills

• Familiarity with Project/Structured Finance and understanding of risk analysis, cashflow modelling, transaction due diligence, and documentation

• Proactive, team-player with good interpersonal skills, ability to work well under pressure, and prioritise to meet tight deadlines

Technical skills required

• Good IT skills, particularly in Excel and project finance models
