Job summary

Crédit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank ("CACIB") is the corporate and investment banking arm of the Crédit Agricole Group. Based in New York, CACIB's Corporate and Leveraged Finance Group ("CLF") is a global business encompassing expertise in Financing Solutions for Funds, Corporate Debt Origination, Acquisition Finance & Advisory, Leveraged Finance and TMT Finance. Fund Solutions Group for North America (FSG NA) is dedicated to provide Asset Managers and Financial Sponsors with integrated and tailored financing solutions, covering all funds financing needs including, but not limited to: sublines, equity bridges, Hybrid / NAV, bridge to bridge facilities, management company facilities.

FSG NA is seeking a motivated undergraduate student with relevant education and a strong interest in financial services. The team provides a full array of financing solutions for sponsors and asset manager clients, as well as for selected limited partners. The team originates, structures and executes a wide range of products, in various investment sectors (or asset classes).

The intern will provide support to both junior and senior bankers through portfolio management (ongoing daily tasks including internal reporting, note taking, tracking of emails, etc.), assisting in financial and credit analysis, including the review and analysis of fund documents, conducting market research, and providing general support across various projects and working streams.

The role offers an opportunity to become an integral part of Credit Agricole's CLF FSG franchise and assist in all aspects of deal execution. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong work ethic and initiative, open-mindedness and a knack to learn, excellent analytical and communication skills, superior organizational ability, and the capacity to work under pressure with tight timelines.

An understanding of banking and capital markets is a plus. The position offers exposure across various groups/platforms across the bank and the opportunity to participate in interesting and innovative financing solutions along the private capital structure, executed from beginning to end.

Job Overview:

Assist FSG NA team members and management in the day-to-day tasks and responsibilities of the department, with a focus on origination, structure and execution and portfolio management. The ideal candidate should have great organizational skills to be able to manage multiple deals and working streams in order to meet tight deadlines.

Pay: $48.08/hour

Supplementary Information

Responsibilities:

Portfolio monitoring includes the following but not limited to:

  • Keep ongoing pipeline tracking of all current live deals and upcoming deals (including work streams, next steps)
  • Management of various reports and spreadsheets with internal tracking items (profitability and risk metrics) on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
  • Maintenance of internal databases as well as all the monitoring and reporting tools of the entire portfolio of transactions
  • Assist in the preparation of internal reporting requirements to both local and head office teams as well as senior management

Deal lifecycle tasks include the following but not limited to:

  • Assist in preparation of transaction memorandums, research for the team, analysis on funds (financial and broader)
  • Assist in preparation of internal/ external presentation materials including pitch decks, lender presentation materials, term sheets
  • Craft clear and succinct written analysis of industry market trends and related commentary
  • Work with other team members, to support the day to day operations of the team, ensuring timely and accurate information gathering and analysis

Candidate criteria

Experience

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Candidate is eligible to work in the US
  • Candidate does not require Visa Sponsorship now or in the future (including F1, OPT, CPT)
  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's program in Business, Economics, Finance, Accounting or related field, with an expected graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028, and an excellent academic record
  • Fluent proficiency in English
  • Proficiency in Microsoft suite products (including but not limited to Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook); familiarity with advanced Excel functions (data analysis, tables and charts, advanced formulas)

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong communication, interpersonal and collaborative teamwork skills
  • Ability to work under pressure with different priorities and tight project deadlines
  • Team orientation, strong attitude, motivation and continued eagerness
  • Reliability, attention to detail and quality outputs; ability to work against deadlines in a demanding environment are of the utmost importance
  • Familiarity with Bloomberg is a plus
  • Basic to intermediate financial analysis capabilities
  • Foundational knowledge of accounting, banking and capital markets concepts
