Summary:
The Risk & Control Analyst will be responsible for:
- The maintenance of CASA UK Operational Risk Framework and the execution of the control plan;
- The monitoring and reporting of operational incidents impacting the branch;
- The monitoring of operational risks arising from the outsourced activities;
- The preparation of the supporting documentation to Paris and London committees for CASA UK risk-related topics.
To a lesser extent, the successful candidate will also be involved in the monitoring of the financial risks to which the branch is exposed (FX risk, interest rate risk, liquidity risk, market risk on Treasury activity).
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Risk Framework:
In conjunction with various departments of the branch (Front-Office, Operations, Accounting…) participate, on an annual and ad-hoc basis, to the maintenance of the Operational Risk Framework of the branch which mainly comprises of:
Mapping of operational processes of CASA UK departments;
- Operational Risk Matrix;
- Level 1 and Level 2.1 control plan;
- Independent Level 2.2 control plan.
- Participate to the monthly follow-up of the Level 1 operational controls carried out by CASA UK departments;
- Carry out independent Level 2.2 controls in accordance with the pre-defined annual control plan and monitor the action plans relating to the identified weaknesses;
- Monitor the daily alerts from the atypical transactions monitoring tool and preparation of the dedicated monthly reporting
Operational Incidents:
- Formalise incident forms for any operational incident impacting the branch (including on outsourced activities);
- Assist the CASA UK departments in identifying appropriate action plans;
- Perform a follow-up of the implementation of these action plans;
- Produce dedicated reports and feed the Group’s operational incidents database.
Risks arising from outsourced activities (intragroup outsourcing):
- As part of the monitoring of risks arising from the outsourced activities, the Risk & Control Analyst will:
- Follow-up and challenge Risk Indicators provided by service providers’ 2nd LoD;
- Liaise with the service providers and service providers’ permanent control teams for any relevant topics, and particularly topics related to compliance and financial security outsourced to CA-CIB LB;
- Follow-up the implementation of action plans regarding operational incidents on outsourced activities;
- Synthetizing these indicators at the appropriate level with the ‘CASA UK Risk and Controls’ committee or ‘CASA UK ICC’ committee.
Attendance to local or HO Committees:
The Risk & Control Analyst will attend the following local committees:
- CASA UK Risk and Control committee;
- CASA UK Internal Control Committee.
Will also assist the Chief Risk Officer in organising and preparing these committees.
The Risk & Control Analyst may attend some HO committees as well.
