Agency & Transaction Management Analyst

About the Role

The Agency & Transaction Management (ATM) team sits at the intersection of Front Office and Back Office, providing critical middle office support to the Project Finance, Energy and Real Estate divisions. You will manage the full transaction lifecycle — from execution through to ongoing administration — across agency, bilateral and participant structures.

What You'll Do

Transaction Management

  • Review draft facility documentation for operational fit, flagging issues to Front Office ahead of execution
  • Manage Conditions Precedent sign-off, fee treatment, documentation filing and account opening across new transactions
  • Book and maintain trades in SMAC, ensuring accuracy and adherence to ATM standards
  • Manage cash flows across the portfolio, including drawdowns, repayments and liaison with Loans Administration.

Agency

  • Where CACIB acts as Agent: coordinate all syndicate members, borrowers and legal counsel; manage CP monitoring, payment coordination, waiver requests and covenant compliance reporting
  • Where CACIB acts as Participant: ensure Front Office has timely, accurate information to respond to agent instructions and obtain necessary authorisations

Portfolio Oversight

  • Monitor and report financial and non-financial covenants, securities and technical/financial milestones
  • Maintain portfolio diary systems and provide regular updates to Front Office, including for annual reviews
  • Review Revenue and RWA data provided by Finance; prepare quarterly movement reports and audit responses

Controls & Reporting

  • Complete SMAC/Back Office reconciliations accurately and on time
  • Review daily commission reports to ensure correct profit centre allocation
  • Support NBI report reviews and contribute to transversal projects led by the Head of ATM

Who You'll Work With

Internally: Front Office (Project Finance, Energy, Real Estate), Loans Administration, Risk, Legal, Finance, Syndications and Financial Security

Externally: Borrowers, syndicate banks, lawyers, technical advisors, auditors and rating agencies

What We're Looking For

  • Experience in a middle office, agency or transaction management role within a bank or financial institution
  • Solid understanding of syndicated lending, project finance or structured credit
  • Comfortable managing complex transactions autonomously and supervising junior team members
  • Strong attention to detail, with a proactive approach to controls and stakeholder management
  • Familiarity with loan administration systems (experience with SMAC an advantage)
